Dedicated Servers on Xbox ONE Free For All Developers to Implement

Xbox ONE Dedicated Servers CLOUD

Microsoft Game Studios has revealed that their cloud servers available for Xbox ONE titles will be made free for all developers to implement at their choosing. After recently Xbox ONE-only dedicated servers for Call of Duty Ghosts were updated to be dedicated on every platform, we now learn that any game on Xbox ONE can get dedicated servers without increasing the cost of development. Hopefully devs will choose to implement this on all multiplayer games (especially shooters and real-time competitive titles like fighting games). Could it be that next-gen the dreaded “lag” will finally be a thing of the past?
