PS4 Trophies Won’t Post to Facebook? Here’s How to Fix It

By Jon I in Guides

PS4 Trophies Post to Facebook

PlayStation Network’s recent update to the PS4 firmware slightly changed the way trophies and activities are posted to Facebook by Sony’s next-generation PS4 console. It may seem like your PS4 trophies and gaming activity is no longer posting to Facebook. In fact, it actually is.

You can find it by clicking going to your profile, clicking “Activity Log” (at the top right hand side next to “Update Info”) and finding the event – it will be there with the privacy setting you set up when you linked your FB to your PS4. Now, click the gear next to it (which may look like a pen depending on your settings) and then switch from “Allowed on Timeline” to “Shown on Timeline”. Voila, now you’ve got this event right on your Facebook profile.

There’s no public statement currently available as to why this change occured, but we’d bet it has something to do with the PS4 posting a bit too often for FB’s liking. With a little bit of extra work you’ll still be able to keep the PS4 love going, you’ll just have to regulate it yourself for the time being.

  • Can you do this guide again but with pictures?,it doesn’t seems to work here (i can’t find the “Activity log” nor the “Update info” at my “Profile” section)

I’ve made sure to go to Settings->PSN->Link with other services->Facebook->Privacy Settings->Activate the Trophies option, then “Next” (brings back to the previous screen before Privacy Settings),then tried getting a trophy in CONTRAST and sync’d it

Guess what?,IT DIDN’T, BUUUT Videos and Screenshots ARE SHARED!!!!!

    WTF?!

Absolutely DV2. Thank you for checking out the site. I will add pictures and video to this Guide approximately tomorrow night.

      • I’ve noticed you have to go to the Activity Log in FB BUT whenever i go there it appears all in BLANK…there’s no registry,nothing..just the top blue FB menus and the typical “contact fb” from the bottom being dragged at the top of the screen..also ads at the right side

        Either a PS4 prob or a FB prob..i don’t even know…

  • Where is the video/ picture guide, i need it too^^ same problem

  • I assume we need to manually do this for every trophy we want to share. Right ?

  • Hi my ps4 is not posting anything on my facebook profile please Help

Take a look at the tutorial Tom. Beyond that, there is a known glitch that sometimes happens when Facebook Activity Log no longer works. That is not fixable and eventually over time if you keep checking, it should return to normal (this can take a long time sometimes). Hope this helps, the instructions are in the guide.

  • my friend thanks for your efforts but the thing is, it doesn’t show up in the ACTIVITY LOG itself :-/
yeah i can share epics and stuff, and videos and they do appear, BUT trophies stories do not show up on the activity log :-/ so that i can enable them to be shown on my timeline :-/

Please read the comment above where I reply to Tom. You are experiencing a Known Glitch. There is no remedy for it not showing up in the activity log itself. Eventually over some time, it will return to normal. It has happened to me as well before. There is nothing you can do if the problem gets to that stage, this is a tutorial for those with a working activity log. Thanks for checking us out!
