Raven-Legacy-of-a-Master-Thief-Review-Coming-Soon

Now in the final act of The Raven after the awesome experience in the first episode, and the good but slightly less awesome experience in episode two, we are met with the conclusion to something great that started in episode one. But now we find our self in a odd place.

Story: I had hoped we would return to Zellner but instead we find our self playing as two different boring main characters but characters can show what they are capable of as things just get crazier by the minute. With a lot of plot twists and turns in this episode, basically everything I could say about the story is a spoiler, so even though I did not like the whole idea of the direction it went in I will let you know a few things to expect without spoiling the game. Players will rethink who the Raven is from time to time due to the direction of Episode 3′s story. Most characters are well done, expect for the two heroes who honestly should have been left out with the game keeping Zellner.

Voice: Of course the voice acting from supporting roles are great as always but the heroes yet again don’t fit right. Zellner had a voice that matched him, sounded great, and the actor did the character extremely well. These other guys since him can not live up to Zellner in any way, shape, or form.

Controls / Gameplay: Puzzles add some more fun stuff to the playbook but players must have a more fine-tuned, keen eye. This is due to each scene being filled with hints, or things you can miss that will help solve the case. It is hard to say what happens if players don’t use detective skills to the max, but this episode is filled with bugs that make you stop and reload your progress. The past two episodes (2 and 3) have felt more rushed and not as well put together as the first one.

Replay Ability: Moderate

Final Verdict: The final chapter in The Raven series leaves you at kind of a cross road. Technical bugs and the missing element of Zellner don’t ruin things but if they were fixed it could have been a lot better. The Raven Episode 3 gets a 6.8 out of 10.
