Top 20 Best Looking Multiplatform Games of the Last Generation

By Tristan Werbe in Opinion Pieces

#20: Read Dead Redemption

Red Dead Redemption was released back in 2010 as one of the most outstanding games in all categories, heavy detail to the wild west, realistic looking character models, and just about everything feels rich and vibrant for our first spot on this list.

#19: Portal 2

Portal may be a fun puzzle game, but it mixes with amazing visuals to land the 19th spot on this list.

#18: Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag

If you’re looking for some treasurable eye candy, well here it is.

#17: Far Cry 3

Trapped on an island with only beautiful scenery to look at? Far Cry 3 is your game.

#16: Sleeping Dogs

The reincarnation of True Crime came back good in almost every way possible, especially the graphics.

#15: Batman Arkham Origins

All of the Batman Arkham games looked good, but Origins finished off its last gen run with amazing visuals, highly detailed locations, and characters that looked very real.

#14: L.A. Norie

The crime detective game fits the bill of the awesome 40’s style.

#13: Tomb Raider (2013)

I may not think this is the greatest game out, but players can not deny how great the graphics are.

#12: Resident Evil 6

Resident Evil games are known for having great graphics, RE6 was no exception.

#11: Crysis 2

A series also known for great looking games brings us our number 11 choice for this list, Crysis 2.

#10: DMC Devil May Cry

The gutsy move of bringing back an Old IP back paid off for DMC: Devil May Cry.

#9: Grid 2

Yet again, a racing game looks highly detailed.

#8: Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance

Could not be a list without a Hideo Kojima game on it.

#7: Max Payne 3

Of course some more Rockstar for their attention to detail and workmanship.

#6: Mass Effect 3

The facial animation and nearly everything is super detailed in this title.

#5: Metro: Last Light

Makes sense right? It was one of the best looking games on PC when it released and made its mark on consoles as well with highly tuned graphics and solid shooter gameplay.

#4: Remember Me

Remember Me was a New IP with awesome graphics and made up for what it lacked in other areas with great art design.

Remember Me

#3: Lightning Returns – Final Fantasy XIII

Players can not deny the beauty in this game.

#2 Grand Theft Auto V

By far one of the best looking games ever and one of the best.

#1 Crysis 3

We all saw this one coming…
