PlayStation Vita Outsells Wii U

By Jon Ireson in News

Just over 9,600 sales last week for the Nintendo Wii U puts it behind the PlayStation Vita. The home console is causing confusion in the consumer market where potential customers expect that this product offers the Wii experience at home and on the go.

When sales people are forced to deny this feature, as it isn’t the intended purpose of the Wii U, the appeal is lost and so is the sale. PlayStation has done a much better job of establishing what its brand does at home and on the go and how you can use the PlayStation Vita in conjunction with the PS3 and upcoming PS4 to play your favorite PlayStation franchises on the go, and more.

Whether this dip in sales is just a trend or will remain the situation is unclear at this time. There is currently plans being highly publicized and officially confirmed that Nintendo will soon release a Mini Wii. After this final attempt to spark interest in new hardware, Nintendo will have to be patient before making any more moves in the video game hardware manufacturing industry.
