Could fans be in for an HD Remaster of RE2 and RE3: Nemesis after today’s announcement? All signs are pointing to a calm and clear climate which would allow for such to happen. Capcom has sent out a Press Releases confirming that Resident Evil HD Remaster has broken many records across various platforms. Not the least of these new records which Capcom now holds for the survival horror franchise loved by millions worldwide is #1 Fastest Selling Digital Game on PSN.
The PlayStation Network launched the game as well as Steam and Xbox Live on January 20, 2015 and it has received a great welcoming from gamers ever since. Let’s keep those fingers crossed just in case, but it would seem evident by the overwhelmingly positive response to this release and the minimal marketing budget put behind it that Capcom has something big up their sleeve which this Remaster was merely an introduction to… or so we hope…
Excerpt from the Official Press Release:
The title which launched on January 20th has also broken the record for the biggest selling day one digital title on the PlayStation® Network.
Capcom’s Producer on the title, Yoshiaki Hirabyashi, commented “It’s been great to see so many positive comments from fans that have enjoyed this new release. The team here at Capcom Japan have worked hard to bring the game to the latest generation of consoles and we are thrilled at this news on its performance.”
