I recently built a new PC (other than not affording a new graphics card just yet, every other part is new including the case). In the following 2 videos I discuss how to transfer your Steam games to a brand new PC without any downloading, file copying, back-up, or restoring whatsoever. This will even carry over your save files, all hassle-free.
To do this, you will need to own multiple hard drives and have the ability to bring plug your old hard drive into the new machine. For some reason, it seems to be hard to find this exact method online so I decided to mention it while unboxing my new parts: the Intel Core i7-4770 3.4GHz Quad-Core Processor, Asus H81M-D PLUS Micro ATX LGA1150 Motherboard, and Rosewill R519-BK ATX Mid Tower Case w/500W Power Supply. Watch the video and I’ll explain the Steam games process as well as speak on these new parts and why I went for a lower-end, economic motherboard and case. Oh, by the way I also grabbed some new RAM but I didn’t unbox that because it would just be silly. 😉
Enjoy! Keep it real, keep it gaming.
