Worms: Clan Wars was recently announced by Team17 as the team’s latest PC exclusive game. We’ve gotten to see some early build screenshots and details thanks to the Rezzed trade event that just took place over the weekend. For Worms veterans, you won’t need much explaining as to what this game is all about. With 10 Worms-Ops timed attack missions and 25 single player story missions to keep you from getting bored, the game will primarily focus on multiplayer (hence the name Clan Wars). New Multiplayer Clan Leagues, clan support, clan emblem editor, and more. Four classes with new special abilities will serve to balance the 65 weapons and utilities in the game. There’s even going to be 10 brand new pieces of gear for us to discover including a Mega Morter, Gravedigger, Winged Monkey, Whoopsie Cushion, Bovine Blitz, and more.
The 5 environments being shown off for the game are Inca, Viking, Feudal Japan, Industrial Revolution, and Prehistoric. Of course we will still get Fort mode and multiplayer death-match and it wouldn’t be a PC Worms game without the Landscape Editor, new “Physics-based contraptions”, and over 200 customization items. The game features some of the biggest landscapes ever used in a Worms game (30% larger) as well as a dynamic day and night cycle, a Companion App for iOS / Android / Web, and even Steam Workshop support!

The following screenshots and trailer were released recently for Shadow Warrior, the re-envisioning by developer Flying Wild Hog (the team behind Hard Reset) of Shadow Warrior brought into modern glory. You can save the world, shoot, and new and improved – slice. Of course, there’s a quest for the legendary Nobitsura Kage blade which sounds worthy to me if anything in life is. Did we mention saving the world? Speed and accuracy are promised in the gameplay of this Retro First Person Shooter brought back to life. If you want to see how it looked back in ’97, you can play the classic version available HERE on Steam.
