Originally the rumors came around that Diablo III would be released for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. At what seemed like the chance of a lifetime Blizzard actually responded to these rumors by stating more or less that they were actively looking into the possibility. Now before you get your fanboy defense force mobs to the rescue, take this with a grain of salt. The information is coming directly from Xbox Magazine themselves, who had this to say towards the validity of the claims surrounding a console version of Diablo III:

“This is Blizzard, right? The guys whose April Fools jokes regularly scoff at the consoles. Take last year, when they announced Diablo III on Wii? Big yucks, everyone – look at those Wii idiots, wanting a video game as good as ours! And then there was the Starcraft for Kinect April’s Fool gag. Look, Blizzard, Kinect is *our* whipping boy. We’re allowed to take a pop at it, because it’s coming from a place of something that looks like love. When you guys do it, it’s… racist, or something.”
