Get Three Free PC Games Without Any Strings Attached

A little free game for the holidays in case nobody gets you anything – at least you’ll have that.

For the next 15 hours you can still get a free Steam key for Homefront through the Humble Bundle Store recently acquired by IGN…. but that’s a story for another day. Even if you don’t have a gaming computer right now, all you need is a Steam account and to create a free Humble Bundle account, then link the two together and receive this free game.

Homefront: Free for a Limited Time

Ubisoft is also giving away World in Conflict, a top-rated RTS game for free as we speak. Even if you don’t have disk space on your hard drive for now, you can still activate it with your account for playing at a later date similarly to Homefront’s deal above. There’s really no harm in stacking up free titles this way, and Ubisoft has been doing good things in the games industry as of late, so it’s guilt-free as well. All you have to do is download the UPlay app on your PC, it’s not even half as annoying as the Windows 10 Games Store (back from the dead GFWL… Tristan “just told me don’t even bring that up”.

World in Conflict – Complete Edition – Free (Ends December 11, 2017)

Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag will be free December 12, 2017

Many people felt that Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag was the last actual good game in the franchise until Origins brought it back to stardom. “Origins doesn’t bring the series backwards to its roots either, but instead reinvents the wheel in a way that’s good for the series and feels like it realizes some of the original vision behind titles like Assassin’s Creed.”

“Obviously the setting is different in this new adventure, but it feels like the series always was supposed to be.” These are our currently flu-bound Deputy Editor Tristan Werbe’s words, Stay Tuned for the Full AC: Origins RealGamerNewZ Review & grab these free games.

Director of Assassin’s Creed 3, and Far Cry 4 Leaves Ubisoft, starts own Studio

c88d6df2fba4754006cb2f72eecbaac1Ubisoft developer, Alex Hutchinson has left the publisher to create his own indie studio. His offical statement from Twitter “So! I left Ubisoft after 7 years. Extremely proud of all we achieved on Far Cry and Assassins but very excited to build something new.” For years now he has made his displeasure with AAA gaming. Comparing AAA games with dinosaurs. We are excited to see what he moves onto and what types of games him and his team decide to create.

PC Gamer Deleting Their Articles, Failed To Disclose Ubisoft PR Ethics Violation

PC Gamer Ubisoft Ethics PR Journalist

Many articles which have been seen by hundreds of thousands, perhaps millions of viewers have been deleted from the long-standing publication PC Gamer which has come under fire recently as a journalist who wrote about Assassin’s Creed favorably a large number of times has been discovered to be the perpetrator of a severe ethics violation. Despite the fact that the video games industry mainly goes unregulated to this sort of thing, nepotism and favoritism exists in all segments of business – eventually things can go poorly if proper disclosure is not made to immediately address bias.

It has been stated by many critics of PC Gamer’s actions to delete these articles that if connections between authors and their subject matter can be stated up front to the reader there will be no cause for alarm after the fact. Still, the fact that sales have been influenced by this author’s work without any reasonable warning of the bias that inevitably existed, PC Gamer has had their reputation tarnished and will be looked at with a skeptical eye from here on out. This case is the latest in a string of ethics violations that have been revealed after a massive outrage took place due to the poor quality of Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed Unity which released for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC on November 11, 2014.

Below, the criticisms of Total Biscuit who was named Trending Gamer at The Video Game Awards in 2014:

Ubisoft is Putting The “Ass” in “Assassin’s Creed”

Assassins Creed Rogue PS3 Xbox 360

Well if Ubisoft didn’t have enough problems with Assassin’s Creed Unity, they have now officially called the funeral home to make the proper arrangements for their burial after a silent assassination. In a recent slip up in Assassin’s Creed Rogue, a typo has been found in probably the worst area it could be. And I’m not talking about something at the beginning of the game, it comes at the end or in this case the rear of the game, which they have done a fine job of showing for themselves anyway. This just allows all of us as gamers to get a better perspective as to why this company is struggling with this franchise.

It appears that the quality control director, Mr. Razvan Rotunjanu can’t seem to do his job correctly. Here is what I mean by this.

That’s right ladies and gentleman, the quality control director forgot to put a “d” into the word “worldwide.” It’s no wonder these games are garbage. Ubisoft’s quality control director is too busy using the “d” on the developers to ruin this franchise.

Bravo Mr. Rotunjanu, Bravo!

Gamer Gear #1 – Assassin’s Creed Unity: Phantom Blade

Assassins_Creed_Unity_Phantom_Blade (1)

Welcome to Gamer Gear, a series of post that informs gamers on new clothing items every gamer should have in his or her wardrobe. This week Ubisoft released Assassin’s Creed Unity the latest installment in the Assassin’s Creed Saga and released Arno’s signature weapons The Phantom Blade. This blade continues the trend from Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood in which Ubisoft release their first hidden blade for protagonist Ezio into the next generation. The blade  will run you $59.99 so to get a set it will be around $120 but that will be a small price to pay to complete your assassin’s costume for your next cosplay event or to stash away for next Halloween. If you would like to purchase the blade click here then be sure to check back to RGN soon for the next installment of Gamer Gear.

Newest Assassin’s Creed: Unity Trailer Highlights Co-op Action

Ubisoft has released a new gameplay video for Assassin’s Creed: Unity focusing on the game’s co-op feature. The official video description reads:

In Assassin’s Creed Unity you can play as a melee expert, agile infiltrator, or a silent master of stealth and join forces with up to three friends to take on a variety of co-op missions. Whether you’re tackling heists or assassinations, you’ll need planning, teamwork, and a combination of your whole team’s complementary skills to succeed, but if you do you’ll be handsomely rewarded.

Assassin’s Creed: Unity will release on November 11, 2014 for PS4, PC and Xbox One.

Assassin’s Creed: The American Saga Releasing this Fall

Ubisoft, not content with releasing two Assassin’s Creed related titles this year will be releasing a third with  The American Saga exclusively for PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.

Assassin’s Creed: The American Saga is a compilation of three America based AC titles including:

Assassin’s Creed 3

Challenge the Templar’s supremacy as Connor throughout the American Revolution.

Assassin’s Creed: Liberation HD

Combat the Spanish forces in Louisiana as deadly Assassin Aveline de Grandpré.

Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag

Explore the Caribbean seas and join the fight against the Templars as Edward Kenway, during the Golden Age of Piracy.

So it is more like 2 brand new Assassin’s Creed games and three re-released ones. Either way, Ubisoft is really milking that AC cow for all she’s worth and I’ll be willing to bet this is probably the main reason for Assassin’s Creed: Unity getting pushed back from its original October 28th date.

Assassin’s Creed: The American Saga will be available on October 28, 2014 for PS3, Xbox 360 and PC stay tuned for pricing info.

As we all know Assassin’s Creed Unity has been revealed to us for quite some time now. We have all been shown amazing game play footage, as well as Co-op and some story footage.  But recently someone posted to Reddit a Video(post removed but video remanes on YouTube) about a new game play mode called Rifts in which players compete in a race like challenge in order to collect glyph’s scattered around a series of locations. The video Below also Shows a Screenshot of the different characters from the past Assassin’s Creed games. Im unsure if they are playable or if you must race them but there is a substantial amount of info in the video. Check it out and comment below on how you think rifts will affect the game play of Assassin’s Creed Unity.
