Uncharted 4 Will Now Release in 2016

Naughty Dog’s Creative Director, Neil Druckmann has announced that Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End has been delayed. According to his note on the PlayStation blog, Druckmann states the game being “much more ambitious” than they realize, as the reason for the delay.

“After spending so many years with Nathan Drake, he means a lot to the team, and telling the climactic chapter of his adventures is a task we don’t take lightly — this game deserves every bit of the attention to detail, precise pacing, and nuanced storytelling Naughty Dog is known for. So we’ve made the difficult choice of pushing the game’s release date. Giving us a few extra months will make certain that Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End not only meets the team’s high standards, but the high standards that gamers have come to expect from a Naughty Dog title.”

Players can now expect to continue Nathan Drake’s adventures in the spring of 2016.

Ubisoft Offering Apology to Gamers, Free Games + DLC

Assassins Creed Unity DLC Ubisoft RealGamerNewz 2

If you bought Assassin’s Creed: Unity’s Season Pass, you will now get a choice between which free game you’ll be picking from:

  • The Crew
  • Far Cry 4
  • Watch Dogs
  • Assassin’s Creed Black Flag
  • Rayman Legends
  • Just Dance 2015
Those people who are eligible for a free game will also get the first piece of DLC for Assassin’s Creed: Unity for free. This motion is as an apology for the bugs in AC: Unity and presumably shady piece of business done in which reviews were not allowed to surface until 12 hours after the game’s public launch was achieved. Keep in mind, Ubisoft has still announced that they will not be handing down Review Copies of The Crew until after launch and that this free game + free DLC offer also means the cancelling of the AC: Unity Season Pass. There’s no word yet on if further DLC down the line for the game will cost money or not for people who accept this apology and free game / DLC.
In one sense this is a good deal because the Season Pass was cheaper than most of these games cost. However, now you’ll most likely have to be forced to buy any DLC that comes after the initial free one even though you signed up to buy a Season Pass, not another Ubisoft game discounted. Strange gesture, but it’s coming from the right place. Happy Thanksgiving Gamers! [Some Info Sourced: Ubisoft]

Next Car Game Hands-On Preview

Next Car Game

Next Car game is made from the same company that developed Flatout, Bugbear Entertainment. In this arcade game, players race around tracks or take part in demolition derbies, trying to destroy all others cars. In this title, you crash into other cars a lot;  It’s difficult to drive without crashing into other vehicles because there are 24 other players in that derby or race. That’s not a bad thing at all, I mean that’s what this game is so far. Crash and drive.

This title is still in pre – alpha mode, and it’s definitely obvious. There are only 2 cars to use, and 2 different tracks. There is also a physics demo playground that is quite fun to play around with. Next Car Game is available on steam for $24.99. When you buy this game, you are supporting the developers that have been working meticulously to make this game perfect. It’s still going to be a couple of months before the value really shows.

Next Car Game Screen

When you first start up the game, you are prompted to select a vehicle and a track to play on. There are only two cars and two tracks available right now, but they are very well polished. It’s obvious that Bugbear wanted these maps and cars to be perfected before they released this game onto Steam’s Early Access. This is a driving game, so it’s not enjoyable to play using a keyboard with mouse. Fortunately, this game does allow controller support.

When Next Car Game is finished, you can expect 23 other races and more cars. Also, you will be able to upgrade those cars and customize them to your personal preference. This game doesn’t offer much and this moment except for amazing graphics and physics, but once it is complete, it will definitely be a great game.

Recovery Search and Rescue Simulator Review

Recover Search Rescue Simulator

This game is so bad, that it is almost fun to play. Based of the title of this game, you would think that it would involve actual search and rescue missions. No! Literally all that you do in this game is search for items scattered about the “open world” map, which is huge! The open world makes traveling a drag. It is so boring to ride along on the ridiculous bike for minutes just to get the objective. I will touch on that a little bit later on. Basically every mechanic this game has sucks. This game sucks so bad that it is almost fun to play, because of how ridiculous it is.

Story: TSAR attempted to make a story, but the developers failed big time. The game doesn’t have a normal story mode like most games, but that is expected because it is a simulator. The story is implemented into 45 playable missions, each mission taking about 5-10 minutes to complete. The major problem with that is simply riding the bike to the objective takes well over half of the time and the other half is spent looking at the ground trying to find items. The bike travels super fast; probably at least 60mph even up hills and terrain. Anyways back the story, it sucks! The missions consist of finding trash left behind by campers and searching for them. That is literally all this game has to offer. Some missions are slightly more sophisticated than that, but they all are basically the same thing.

Gameplay: The gameplay mechanics are broken. In some places scattered throughout the map, there are invisible barriers added to keep players from entering that area, but the developers did a terrible job adding them because it is easy to jump over them. Watch the video below, and see for yourself. On the 3rd mission that I played the game stopped working. I was still in the game, but I cannot get on the bike, open my map or backpack which is all you can do.

Controls: The controls are very easy to use with a keyboard and mouse with no glitches or bugs.

Recovery Search and Rescue

Characters / Enemies: The only real character in the game is yourself, the ranger, and the people you find. The people that you find are usually dead or passed out campers that don’t move at all, and they don’t speak or add any story to the game. There is no dialogue whatsoever. All the information and “story” is given via annoying text boxes. No words are spoken in the entire game. The enemies are bears and snakes which are easily avoided. Even if you did get caught up with them it is still easy to escape. They are more of a nuisance then an actual element of the game.

Graphics / Art Direction: The graphics are absolutely terrible even on the highest settings. The bike travels so fast that trees will pop up in front of the bike causing you to crash. Same goes for bushes and grass. The game looks like a PS2 launch title.

Soundtrack / Audio / Voice: The music is terrible and does not go with the forest rescue vibe RSAR tries to make. The noises that the game makes are also bad, and they don’t sound realistic at all. Voice? Yeah, there is no voice in the game!

Multiplayer Aspect: RSAR has no multiplayer aspects.

Replay Ability: RSAR has no replay ability. It actually has no normal playing ability because it is so awful.

Engine Performance: RSAR has many bugs and glitches. The most influential glitch is the barrier glitch. Many of the invisible barriers are easily bi-passable by jumping over them. That’s right, you can just jump over them. The developers must have been geniuses right?

Video Review Notes:

Final Verdict:

This game is a joke. It fails miserably in every aspect of the game, is full of glitches, and is not a simulator at all. It almost seems like the developers just made a rough draft of the game and forgot to polish it, or just wanted to make a quick buck. The game is so bad, that it almost fun to play. It’s like playing a multiplayer game against people who don’t even know how to hold a controller. So bad that it’s kind of fun to find all the glitches. Just because it is so bad that it can be fun at times, that does NOT mean you should buy this. It is definitely not worth money. RSAR gets a pathetic 3 / 10. The developers should have just called it Search Simulator since you don’t do any actual rescuing. Do not buy!
