Grand Theft Auto V is Number 1 in the UK Charts, Despite being 4 Years Old

Grand Theft Auto V just won’t stop chugging. It has spent a total of 13 weeks at number 1 in the UK since it’s release, which just shows how insane of a hit this title is. Constantly staying aside the best selling games like Minecraft, and whatever the big title of the month is. Below is the Top 10 for the week, so you can get a good sense of what the title has beat.

Top 10 UK Sales Chart

  1. Grand Theft Auto V
  2. Dirt 4
  3. FIFA 17
  4. Ghost Recon: Wildlands
  5. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
  6. Overwatch
  7. Arms
  8. Horizon Zero Dawn
  9. Forza Horizon 3
  10. Tekken 7

Modding returns to Grand Theft Auto V

Take-Two sent a letter to OpenIV asking it to shut down it’s services for GTA modding. Of course this was met with a massive backlash from the community that plays their game. But now OpenIV is back up, and they thanked Rockstar games for helping with the situation. Rockstar has yet to make a statement on this, but in the past they have said they are 100% okay with mods for the games singleplayer, which is what OpenIV does usually. Take-Two will likely still go after Mods that affect GTA Online which is fine, as makes them money, and is a different experience than the singleplayer.

Bank Jobs That Won’t Land You In Jail – Rockstar Games Reveals Grand Theft Auto Online: Heists

GTA Online Heists Logo

Rockstar is finally bringing its long rumored  “Heists Mode” to Grand Theft Auto Online  to GTA V earlier next year. In a press release on RockstarGames.com the mode will come to all of the currently available versions of the games as well as the yet to be released PC version. The Heist will require players to work closely together with others gamers online or their GTA Online crew to set up and pull off heist and earn crazy amounts of cash just like in the single player campaign. There is no release date yet for the Heists mode but since it will also roll out on the PC we may see it on or shortly after the game’s PC release  on January 27, 2014. Check out our reviews for the PS3 and PS4 Reviews of Grand Theft Auto V and check back to RGN for all your GTA Related news.

Target Follows Through on Petition to Remove GTA:5 From Their Shelves

Well surprisingly against some wishes of the community, and despite many people opposing the supposed wrongful petition, Target actually followed through with the petition against GTA V being on Target’s shelves, and they were not the only store to follow suit as Kmart did the same. Yesterday I posted an article about 3 women starting a petition to do as I stated, get the Australian Target store chain to remove this game from their store shelves, and they actually did. But why? Many people  opposed this and even one person started another petition in order to get Target to re-add the game back to their shelves. The reason he states is {Quote}   ” The petition that started this was initiated by very misinformed people. They claim the game ‘encourages’ you to commit sexually violent or generally violent acts against women. As someone who has played the game in question extensively (Almost 200 hours), I can confirm that this is a false claim. The game NEVER encourages this. They also completely ignore the fact that there’s much more violence against men than women, but it’s definitely not on a level that should have the video game removed from stores. Plus the game has an R18+ rating for a reason.” {End Quote}

And this is true. A game that is Rated 18+ is rated so due to either violence and gore, Language, or Nudity, and this one has all three. And I have also played this game, completed the campaign, and even had at least 300+ hours of online gameplay, and not once was I prompted or forced to do anything sexual to anybody, male or female. But this is a Petition that is going on now to have Target Negate the previous petition and re-add the game back on to store shelves. You can check out the Petition and sign it here –> https://www.change.org/  and also check out my previous article Involving the petition to remove the game from store shelves here –>  http://realgamernewz.com/43153. And comment on your thoughts, were these women actually misinformed, or are they correct in saying GTA V is all about sexual assault?

Watch GTA V’s Trevor in Real Life

Popular Youtuber Nathan Barnatt loves to prank people. Two of his pranking videos feature him playing the role of Trevor Philips; everyone’s favorite psychopath from Grand Theft Auto V. In the videos ‘Trevor’ is desperately trying to dispose of man’s body, while attempting to enlist the help of the locals. It is entertaining stuff, especially the reactions of some of the people he comes in contact with.

Leaked Gameplay: GTA V Zombies DLC + GTA Online Heists… Finally… From an Unlikely Source

GTA V Zombies DLC

YouTube has its benefits and when their new nazi-copy-reich system isn’t busy removing every single piece of your heart from the internet, it sometimes watches videos too. Well, okay no it doesn’t because artificial intelligence isn’t that smart yet (or is it?) but in any event if it did watch videos – they would be totally awesome and reveal hidden gameplay experiences found by the modding community within the Grand Theft Auto V build code showing off GTA Online Heist information / animations as well as a never-before-seen GTA V Zombies DLC mission. Oh, and apparently Trevor was once destined to join the CIA?

Of course, all of this is all on leaked footage but shouldn’t get you too hyped for now since it could have been scrapped from the game’s final release. At least we know it’s going to forever be possible to play these modes with modding and that will become especially easy once the Windows PC version launches (we hope). I doubt we will see any official confirmation of these features though or public discussion otherwise until Rockstar Games is ready to promote the PS4 / Xbox ONE / PC versions of the game more heavily though, so for now check out this video and investigate our sources below it for more information on the entire leak in full.
