Halo 3 leaked for PC by AMD (DEBUNKED)

ih_manual 05

AMD hosted a event in Korea for it’s new R5 CPUs. AMD had a video featuring many different games for the PC platform, oddly enough artwork of Halo 3 was seen, speculating that the long rumored port of Halo 3 was finally coming to PC. Some have speculated this may the rumored Halo 3 Anniversary, which was denied by 343 last year, but they could have lied. Take all of this with a grain of salt, as information is very minimal, if Microsoft denies this, or confirms we will update the article with new information, or if any other developments happen. Personally I could see it since this year is the 10 year anniversary of Halo 3 which would make sense, launching it on the Xbox Platform, and PC. 343 did say Halo 3 Anniversary wasn’t happening, but that could have been misleading. Or this could simply just be a port of Halo 3, which would be interesting, or maybe even a port of the Halo Master Chief Collection. What do you think? Do you think Microsoft is letting Halo 3 come to PC? Stay tuned here at RGN.

343 shot down rumors of Halo 3 in any form coming to the PC.

343i has released some new concept art on the upcoming Halo game. As you can see it seems to be maybe a colony, or a structure of some kind. Along with a brand new Covenant vehicle. Halo for Xbox One is coming out later this year and more will be shown in the upcoming months. Stay tuned here at RGN in our dedicated Halo and Xbox ONE categories. Halo (5) on Xbox One, Rumors and Facts

11070089904_9bd393129b_o

The upcoming Halo game for the Xbox One has got some facts and rumors under it’s belt. I am going to discuss what is possible, what is fact, what is pure speculation, and what is wrong. Now let us get into it.

Halo on Xbox ONE’s Title: Some people, well most people, think this game is Halo 5. 343i and Microsoft have both stated that this title is not Halo 5. After some going back and forth within the press, I would have to believe them at their original comments and say it is a game that takes place Halo 4 but not before the Halo 5 story arc. I have found a rumor suggesting that the new Halo game will Reclaimer which fits the Reclaimer Saga ordeal.

Halo “Reclaimer” Story: We do not know really anything about the story but I have my educated theory’s. First off the game will either take place between Halo 4’s ending and sometime between Spartan Ops or after it. Or it could take place right after Halo 4 like a week or so which is doubtful but possible in my mind. Now what is Master Chief doing on whatever world or structure he is on? I think this part could either take place within the first 3 hours or in the middle of the game.

What the giant machine is could be three things, The Didact’s war sphinx which I think is unlikely due to leaked concept art of it looking smaller and different. It could be Medicant Bias a ancient forerunner AI who is in working in the background events of Halo 2 and 3, also he may be responsible for the events of Halo 4. Another option is the least likely of it not being in the game at all and possibly being  just promotional or apart of the TV show.

The story will most likely involve heavily into Master Chief’s progression as a human being which we saw briefly touched upon in Halo 3 and more touched on in Halo 4. You could say this game is like the epilogue to Halo 4 and the intro to Halo 5 in a sorts. More like a continuation of the Halo Reclaimer Saga.

Halo Mutiplayer, 60 FPS, Dedicated Servers: Halo will finally be a crisp 60 FPS with online dedicated servers. This will be a big change for the Halo series. The fact they are considering making Halo multiplayer more cinematic and bigger. For example rumors of 32 vs 32 or more with something similar to Battlefields commander mode in BF4. Of course traditional game types will remain with the return of firefight and most likely and redefined and improved Spartan Ops mode. Possibly even a campaign for your multiplayer character similar to Halo Reach.

This is all I can talk about right now concerning Halo on Xbox One “5” “Reclaimer” But in our dedicated Halo sections we will keep you up to date, see you star-side.

Xbox LIVE Games for Gold Program Not Ending at Xbox ONE Launch As Originally Planned

xbox-live-gold-membership

Microsoft has announced that the Xbox LIVE Games for Gold Program which has seen Xbox 360 players receive many games including Halo 3 and Assassin’s Creed II at no cost will not end when the Xbox ONE launches as originally scheduled. In fact, Microsoft will keep the Games for Gold program going and will release more information detailing what free games to expect and when, soon.

Xbox 360’s October 2013 Games With Gold Announced

Xbox Games with Gold

Microsoft has announced the next two games that will be available for free as part of their Games with Gold program next. First up is the puzzle RPG Might & Magic: Clash of Heroes, which will be free to download from tomorrow October 1st to October 15th. M&M was originally a DS title that was released in 2009. In 2011 it was re-released on Xbox 360, PC and PS3, with improved graphics, local and online multiplayer, new content and more. Check out the trailer below.

From October 16th to October 31st, Halo 3, the mega popular first person (the best in the franchise in my opinion) will be available to download for those of you who never got around to playing it back then. Here’s some multiplayer gameplay footage in High Definition.

There you have it the next two games in Microsoft’s Games with Gold program. Remember you must be an Xbox Live Gold member in order to download these games, once you have they are yours to keep, should you choose to not renew.

So what do you guys think, excited for these two free games? I personally can’t wait to give M&M a go as I never got around to buying the game. Halo 3? I played enough of it to not really care now, plus I’m just about tired of the franchise.

RTX 2013: Halo Xbox One News, Halo 3 PC Announcement or Halo 2 Anniversary Reveal?

Halo 3 PC

RTX or Rooster Teeth Expo starts on July 5th, but the Halo 343 Industries Panel doesn’t start till July 6th where we will “Get an exclusive first look at 343’s next Halo announcement!”. This could mean several things, could we be getting information about 343 Industries next installment in the Halo franchise? Could the heavily rumored Halo 3 PC finally be released as all indications point to Certain Affinity to be developing it?

Or could we be getting a Halo 2 Anniversary for the XBOX One? My bet is on a Halo 3 PC announcement as there is a lot information that proves Halo 3 for PC on Steam exists. Back in February a NeoGaf user found a whole range of games that were supposedly coming to Steam in the future, one of those was Halo 3. A few months later, AMD released one of their drivers for their GPU’s and Halo 3 popped up again. There is even a Halo 3 Steam group on the Steam community page. Another source from 4chan gives a compelling case why Halo 3 will arrive on PC in the future, they quote on quote state:

  • “The servers for Halo 2 Windows Vista are being replaced
  • Game for Windows Live will be removed from Halo 2 for Windows Vista.
  • Halo 2 will drop Windows Vista and appear on iOS.
  • The Halo trilogy (Halo: Combat Evolved, a fixed version of Halo 2, and Halo 3) will be available on Steam”

Certain Affinity, a third party developer for 343 Industries was asked on Twitter, “If they were working on Halo 3 for PC”, their response was, “We plead the 5th ;)”. Obviously referring to the 5th Amendment but curiously not giving a definitive no and using a wink emoticon just to make us that much more curiously.

And lastly there is some leaked Halo 3 PC footage that was uploaded on June 26th. This video could easily be fake but the timing of the mouse and keyboard seem to indicate he is using a Mouse/KB. Interesting enough though, he showed a new map called Forge Globe in the Map menu. We’ll have to wait and see on July 6th at RTX to find out what 343 Industries/Certain Affinity are planning.
