CD Projekt Red Details The Witcher III’s New Game Plus DLC Features

Yesterday saw the blockbuster announcement, about New Game Plus being the last of the Witcher III‘s free DLCs. Obviously many fans had questions, so community manager Marcin Momot took to the official forums to answer them. Players can expect stronger enemies, the ability to play NG+ on any difficulty and more.

Momot’s response on NG+ features:

  • Enemies will be stronger obviously.
  • What carries over? Player experience (if you’re below level 30 when finishing the vanilla game, you will be bumped to level 30 for the start of NG+), items (excluding: quest items, books & letters, Gwent cards, usable items, trophies) and alchemy recipes.
  • When starting New Game Plus you can select any difficulty level.
  • You can obtain the Death Match achievement when playing the NG+ mode.
  • What’s the starting level of the character when beginning NG+? The same that you had when finishing the game, if above 30, otherwise you start at 30. You also get a free Clearing Potion at the start so you can reset your skills and try a different build.

CD hasn’t provided a release date of DLC, so stay tuned.

Tom Clancy’s The Division Delayed until 2016

The Division has been delayed, and will now see a 2016 release, Ubisoft has announced today. Players looking to get their hands on the open world third-person shooter RPG, will have to wait until the first quarter of next year. Basically the game should launch anytime between March and June 2016.

The reason for the delay, boils down to the game’s many developers wanting to deliver an experience that not only meets the player’s expectations, but theirs as well.

“We have decided to release the game on Xbox One, PS4 and PC during the first quarter of calendar year 2016.

All of us at Massive, Reflections, Red Storm Entertainment and Ubisoft Annecy want to ensure the game not only meets our high expectations but also those of our fans and players alike. We are proud of what we have achieved so far and can’t wait to show you more next month at E3!”

While the delay may come as disappointing news to some, it is best to remember that it can result in a better experience once it is released. You can expect more details at this year’s E3.

Thoughts on the delay? Let your voices be heard in the comments below.

Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor Releasing A Week Early

Once again the month of October just got a little less crowded as Warner Bros. has announced today that the release date has been pushed forward. Monolith Production’s Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor will now launch on September 30 in North America for PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One, with a Worldwide PC release on Oct 2.

Though it was originally scheduled for an October 7th release, the Publisher stated the reason for the push was due to “fan excitement”. I’m sure the fans will be even more excited with this bit of news.

Thank you Jesus (Fellow RGN writer, not the son of God) for catching this awesome piece of news.

The Last of Us, Uncharted and Batman Arkham Voice Actors Lend their Talents in ‘Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor’

Warner Bros. Interactive has announced the voice cast for their upcoming open world action-adventure title, Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor. It’s actually a pretty high profile list consisting of some of the industries top voice over talent including Nolan North and Troy (I’m the voice of everything) Baker. The full list of confirmed actors, their roles and previous work is below.

  • Troy Baker – Talion (The Last of Us, Batman: Arkham Origins, BioShock Infinite, Saints Row 4)
  • Nolan North - Black Hand (Uncharted series, The Last of Us, Batman: Arkham City, Spec Ops: The Line)
  • Alastair Duncan – Wraith (Mass Effect series, Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception)
  • Laura Bailey - Ioreth (Halo 4, Batman: Arkham Origins, The Last of Us)
  • Liam O’Brien - Gollum (Infamous: Second Son, Darksiders, The Last of Us)

The Publisher has also revealed the music composer for ‘Shadow of Mordor’ to be Garry Schyman. Schyman’s credits include work in films and multiple video games including ‘Dante’s Inferno’ and ‘Bioshock Infinite’ for which he won awards from the British Academy of Film and Television and the Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences for the latter.

I for one think its safe to say that Shadow of Mordor won’t disappoint where’s voice work and the musical score is concerned. I’m personally a fan of these VAs and I’m most looking forward to Liam O’Brien’s take on Gollum, played by Andy Serkis in the Lord of the Rings and Hobbit films.

Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor launches on October 7 for PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC.

Watch Dogs Breaks Pre-order Records

Watch Dogs is now Ubisoft’s most pre-ordered new IP in its history, according to an official post on the company’s blog. It is also the publisher’s second highest pre-ordered game of all time, and the most pre-ordered new IP in the entire industry this year thus far. Ubisoft’s Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Tony Key had this to say:

“These strong pre-orders are a clear indication of players’ anticipation and excitement for Watch Dogs. “The teams have worked tirelessly to ensure that players will enjoy a top quality game with enormous scope, and we can’t wait to get the game into their hands”

Watch Dogs Dedsec Edition; one of the many special editions(9 in total) available for pre-order.

“There is massive buzz in all of our stores around Watch Dogs,” explains Bob Puzon, Senior Vice President of Merchandising at GameStop. “Based on the current level of customer pre-orders we have received, Watch Dogs is the highest pre-ordered next-gen title to date and most pre-ordered new IP of the year.”

The blog also mentions that Watch Dogs has gone “gold”, which basically means that the game is on track for its May 27th release for PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One. The Wii U version is still being worked on and is set for a later release sometime this year.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 Launch Trailer Swings into Action, Carnage Confirmed

The launch trailer for Beenox and Activision’s latest spider-man title has been released for our viewing pleasure. In it we see everyone’s favorite (except the villains) webhead go up against street thugs and some of the most dangerous members of his rogue’s gallery, including Kingpin, Electro and Carnage. Yeah, you read that Carnage. If the symbiotic psychopath is in this game, then that means Venom can’t be that far behind.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 launches tomorrow for PC, PS4, PS3, Wii U, 3DS and Xbox 360. No word yet on when the Xbox One version will come but Activision is working on it.

[Update] New Screenshot for The Division asks ‘what would you do?’

Update: A new screenshot was recently uploaded today with #CommunityLove.

Man this game looks amazing.

Original Story below:

A new screenshot for Ubisoft’s The Division was released asking one simple yet very important question. “What would you do?”

The game’s official twitter page recently posted the screenshot along with the message: “Looks like this agent is in a tight spot… what would you do in a situation like this?”

Personally I would summon an immense fire-breathing dragon and command it to rai…wait, there are no dragons i this? Oh, well I would probably just shoot an RPG in their faces and walk away like a bada** while enjoying the gorgeous explosion in the background. Yeah, just like that, but enough about me…what would you do?

The Division is set to release sometime this year for Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
