General Gameplay fixes

  • General offline and online stability improvements
  • Move list corrections
  • Forward and Backward dashes now require a more precise input when buffered
  • Setting Input Shortcuts Off in controller settings makes buffered special move checks in cancel windows, reversals, and wake-ups have to be more precise
  • Bug fixes to lingering visual and sound effects related to some Multiverse Modifiers
  • Players now receive reduced experience bonuses when playing against an opponent of much lower levels.
  • Added Restart Match option to the pause menu in Multiverse where applicable
  • Removed Event Select and Main Menu from the pause menu in the Endless event.
  • Added End Event Run option to pause menu in the Endless event which grants rewards as if you lost your current match.
  • Fixed bug that would cause the boss version of Brainiac to become unresponsive if Drone Summon attack was interrupted at a specific time
  • Fixed several issues with resetting practice mode while using interactions
  • Adjusted misaligned bomb visual placements when done in certain situations (hit regions were not affected)
  • Fixed lingering visual effect errors on several interactions when they were interrupted or used in specific situations
  • Fixed an issue that caused some users to receive an excessive amount of Guild and Mother Box notifications at once
  • Users now have access to a Quick Open Next option after opening a Mother Box
  • Modifier descriptions are now shown before a Multiverse match where applicable
  • Multiverse Meta-Challenges are better highlighted
  • Added quick scroll buttons to the character list in the Customize Characters menu
  • Users can now Mark All As Seen in the Customize Characters menu to clear the ‘new’ indicator
  • Several projectile attacks have been changed to interact correctly with projectile affecting special moves (such as Captain Cold’s The Wall MeterBurn). These moves are:
    • Batman–Sky Grapple
    • Black Adam–Power of Aton Gear Ability
    • Captain Cold–Upward Cold Blast Gear Ability
    • Cyborg–Up Nova Blast MeterBurn
    • Deadshot–Bullet Barrage
    • Green Lantern–Air Battery Blast
    • Green Lantern–Air Oa’s Rocket Gear Ability
    • Red Hood–Air Akimbo Blaze MeterBurn

Stage Specific Fixes

  • Bomb interactions now have three active frames (down from five)
  • Atlantis–Statue jump interaction can only be performed as a cancel once per combo
  • Atlantis–Console slam interaction can only be performed once per combo
  • Arkham Asylum–Fixed visual problem when killing an opponent with the toilet interaction
  • Batcave–Fixed character facing issue when killing opponent with hanging light interaction
  • Batcave–Console slam interaction can only be performed once per combo
  • Batcave–Brother Eye interaction can only be performed once per combo and has increased damage scaling
  • Slaughter Swamp–reduced the range in which the truck Environmental Interaction can be used

Character Specific Fixes

  • Atrocitus–Fixed a bug which allowed for Dex-Starr Character Power attacks to sometimes be used in situations where you were in a throw state
  • Atrocitus–additional damage added after Napalm Vomit attacks inside of a combo will now use the correct combo damage scaling. (This does not apply in Competitive/Tournament Mode)
  • Batman–Fixed a bug which allowed for the Mechanical Bats Character Power to sometimes be able to attack in situations where you were in a throw state
  • Batman–Pressing a button not bound to any attacks during Glide will no longer prevent further inputs
  • Black Adam–Fixed a bug which allowed for the Seth Strike Gear Ability to sometimes be able to attack in situations where you were in a throw state
  • Black Adam–Adjusted Air Boot Stomp ability to be able to cross up when an opponent was in the corner (This does not apply in competitive/Tournament Mode)
  • Black Canary–Fixed bug in which online match rollback could cause the Canary Cry audio effect to persist for the rest of the match
  • Black Canary–Canary Cry character power attacks no longer interacts with projectile affecting special moves
  • Brainiac–If a Beta Strike Character Power is active when a throw escape occurs, it is destroyed (This does not apply in Completive/Tournament Mode)
  • Captain ColdNo longer continues to gain Character Power meter if transitioned while holding Cyclotron Charge (This does not apply in Completive/Tournament Mode)
  • Cheetah–Fixed camera issue that could occur when an online rollback happens during Savage Ambush MeterBurn
  • Cheetah–After landing a jump attack during her Jungle Jump Gear Ability, she can now combo into standing attacks
  • Cyborg–Fixed audio issue with Techno Tackle MeterBurn being interrupted
  • Cyborg–Fixed issue with Repair Circuit Gear Ability causing the Character Power UI to not display correct information if cancelled
  • Cyborg–Fixed a bug that prevented the Directed Arm Blaster Gear Ability from dropping from Mother Boxes
  • Cyborg–Fixed bugs with Target Acquired while under the effects of some Multiverse Modifiers
  • Darkseid–Adjusted Low Omega Beam’s hit region to collide more consistently
  • Darkseid–Fixed a bug which allowed for the Parademon Character Power to sometimes be able to attack in situations where you were in a throw state
  • Darkseid–Fixed bug where Explosive Demon could be summoned in the background if used immediately following a Background Bounce Interaction
  • Darkseid–Fixed bug causing a summoned Charging Parademon to perform Demon Charge attack in the wrong direction in certain circumstances
  • Dr Fate–Fixed a bug which allowed for the Final Judgement or Final Punishment to sometimes be able to attack in situations where you were in a throw state
  • Firestorm–Fixed bug where Firestorm’s character model could become invisible in certain circumstances during online modes
  • Flash–Fixed bug that would cause the Sonic Lift MeterBurn to sometimes miss if the first hit connected directly above Flash’s head
  • Flash–On Your Mark now requires a more precise input when buffered
  • Green Lantern–Battery Blast’s visual effects now always play correctly when on done from the right side
  • Harley Quinn–Fixed a bug with Hungry Hyenas Character Power which could cause only one hyena to appear when two have been summoned
  • Joker–Fixed a bug that prevented the Gasser Gear Ability from dropping from Mother Boxes
  • Poison Ivy–Fixed a loss of control issue when Thistle Hurt (Away + Medium, Down + Medium, Light + Hard/Throw) misses when an opponent tech rolls on the first frame possible after a large combo
  • Poison Ivy–Fixed a camera issue when Nightshade’s projectile interrupted Batman’s throw on Poison Ivy
  • Red Hood–Hammer Fury (Hard, Hard, Medium while Electric Hammers is active) starts up 1 frame later
  • Red Hood–Fixed bug that could sometimes cause Supermove to auto-correct after the cinematic
  • Red Hood–When Low Spin Parry is active Red Hood is now considered to be ducking
  • Red Hood–Quick Shot Character Power can now be clashed
  • Red Hood–Shrapnel Blast Gear Ability can now be clashed
  • Red Hood–Shrapnel Blast damage decreased to 6% base damage (from 10%)
  • Red Hood–Shrapnel Blast MeterBurn damage has increased to 10% base damage (from 6%)
  • Red Hood–Akimbo Blaze MeterBurn Gear Ability is now recovers 23 frames faster
  • Red Hood–Gutted MeterBurn Gear Ability is now +8 on hit (from -14)
  • Red Hood–Ground Mine and Ground Mine MeterBurn can now only be parried by low projectile parries, and not all projectile parries
  • Superman–Air Heat Vision follow up from Rising Grab is now a hard knockdown to prevent it from being punishable on hit in certain circumstances (This does not apply in Completive / Tournament Mode)
  • Swamp Thing–Fixed camera issue when Swamp Thing is interrupted during the startup of Sinking Slough Gear Ability with an Away + Hard attack
  • Wonder Woman–Fixed a bug could cause Down + Medium to have a misaligned hit region if done when right after an opponent has jumped over you or switched sides

Assassin’s Creed Syndicate Patch 1.03 Detailed, Out Now for PS4 and Xbox One


Ubisoft has rolled out a new update for their latest Assassin’s Creed title. Weighing in around 150 MB if you’ve previously downloaded patch 1.2 — 700 and 750 MB if you haven’t, the latest patch attempts to fix the game’s various issues.

· Fixed a display issue with add-on price for the Season Pass owners
· Fixed an issue where sometimes The Ubisoft Club Rewards couldn’t be equipped right after redeeming them


· Fixed an issue in the Gang War activity where enemy NPCs would sometimes disappear after eliminating the gang leader

Game System

· Fixed an issue where it was sometimes possible to switch gear when the player was not supposed to
· Fixed an issue where switching characters could cause two instances of Evie to appear


· Fixed an issue where the “Letter from the Front“ collectibles would not appear on the minimap
· Fixed an issue with the brightness of the map in the “Strange Bed fellows” mission
· Fixed some collisions and navigation issues
· Fixed some icons issues
· Fixed an issue where the Kenway flag model would not appear after obtaining it


· Fixed an issue where, in some cases, the player would not always play his hurt animation


· Fixed an issue with ally stations that sometimes prevented the player from hiring them
· Fixed an issue in the “Change of Plans” mission where the gate from the sewers could be locked, thus blocking the player’s progression


· Fixed some issues with the player’s animations
· Fixed some issues where the player could get stuck in specific places
· Fixed an issue in the “Darwin kidnapping” mission where, in some cases, the player could not carry him anymore

Dying Light Hard Mode + Free DLC Content Update Released for PC, XO, PS4


Techland has now brought a new patch to the Dying Light (our review here) introducing Hard Mode. This new level of difficulty has been added totally free and is meant for the extremely hardcore survivors who want the best experience out of the game with an enabled night gameplay that is twice the length and double the difficulty seen originally. Intensity is at an all time high. Other things included in the free content update made available through a patch on Steam, PS4, and Xbox ONE including new outfits across the game world some are national and some are reward outfits.

If you’re a user looking to try out some new weapons, well, you’re in luck because the development team has added a bunch of new weapons such as the Rune Hammer and the Bone Splitter. Techland has also added a new weapon level which is set at Gold which is now the highest level of rarity. Be sure to check out the video below and get back into the game if these new content updates sound interesting or check out our review if you haven’t already started playing. Editor’s Note: If you’re not in North America / South America, expect to see this content on March 11, 2015 for XO / PC while users outside of North America / South America on PlayStation 4 have to wait until March 14, 2015.

EA Sports has dropped a new update for their next-gen MMA fighting game, providing a host of new fixes and improvements as well as three new fighters. Joining the game’s roster are Bantamweight Champion TJ Dillashaw, Takeya Mizugaki and Tyron Woodley.

Note* The Fighters are free, you do not have to pay for them or download them from the PSN or XBL store. The Update adds them to the roster.


New & Updated Content

  • Addition of 3 new fighters. 2 in Bantamweight: TJ Dillashaw, Takeya Mizugaki and 1 at Welterweight: Tyron Woodley.
  • Updates to fighter records

Will Infamous: Second Son Provide PS+ Instant Demo On PS4?

While Microsoft is hard at work this March bringing in new features with their upcoming patch (video and info here),  gamers could be about to see Infamous: Second Son from Sucker Punch and Sony introduce some of the planned features the PlayStation Network has to offer.

Now that the game has gone gold, there is hopefully time for the developers to get these features integrated into the game; some of the potentials include helping others remotely when friends get stuck in a game, and of course the instant demo over PlayStation Network’s cloud servers.

Right now it is unclear exactly which PSN features if any will be upgraded at the time of Infamous: Second Son’s release, but the pressure is growing for Sony and Sucker Punch to announce something in regards to either a possible co-op, multi-player, mission editor, or the PlayStation Plus features listed above which were promised previously by Sony for the PS4’s long term future, and perhaps even more brand-defining. This could be an opportune time to debut a PS Now Beta as well if necessary to boost this integration.

New Patch For Battlefield 4 On PS3 And PS4 Tries To Fix Several Issues

DICE has released a patch for Playstation 3 and Playstation 4 versions of Battlefield 4 that will help fix several bugs that many players have been experiencing. In the following update it fixes several problems that cause the game to crash when a user is switching or spawning into a gunner seat in a IFV/MBT, the sound has also been fixed when the sound cuts out in Team and Squad deathmatch.

The patch also decreases the rate that a kill card would display 0 health while the enemy is still alive.  DICE has also announced that players can download free Shortcut Kits as part of Player Appreciation Month which is currently the Hand Guns Shortcut Kit for everyone and the DMR Shortcut Kit for Premium Members and on February 25 through March 4th everyone will have access to the Grenade Shortcut Kit and Premium Members will also be able to pick up the Shotgun Shortcut Kit.

Today gamers will begin to receive Double XP in Call of Duty: Ghosts for multiple platforms as a celebration of the holidays. In addition to this, there’s also now a new playlist called Heavy Duty which adds a chance for more health to the multiplayer component of Ghosts which has been criticized for being one of the least enjoyable MP’s in the entire series (mainly due to poorly designed maps). You can get double experience from December 27, 2013 until the morning of December 30, 2013 – so get killing before it runs out.

DICE And EA Games Made One Of The Most Beloved FPS Ever; But Its Glitches Are Killing EA Stocks

You all know me. I’m one of the most vocal gamers in the world. Perhaps many have ‘googled’ my name next to Battlefield and DICE in the past and seen my history with the company and their sometimes false and misleading advertising. This passion on reporting about their games comes from the fact that I myself am a Battlefield fan – who guessed it? Since Battlefield 1942 I haven’t missed a beat yet, and yet I was the first to call them out on what I viewed as a string of shoddy releases.

However, I’m about to celebrate my birthday in a few days and the item I’m most excited about treating myself with is Battlefield 4 on the next-generation platform. All of the glitches have not stopped my renewed optimism for the series, knowing that DICE has done something impressive and special with their next-generation iteration of BF. Unfortunately, EA Games and DICE are having a hard time getting their many, many glitches and issues fixed for Battlefield 4. Their stock values are suffering from this. As a gamer I am prepared to bear with them while this time of moaning continues onward. I am hoping for the best and I am rooting for DICE. Perhaps the most unlikely gamer to be rooting for a company that has gone out of their way in the past to talk smack about me in the public spectrum.

What is it about gamers and being abusive to developers anyways? Oh yeah, we covered that yesterday in a massive article (featuring indie dev Gabby Taylor).

The bottom line is this – EA Games and DICE have had a lot of patience from fans with these glitches and patches and have even announced they will no longer develop DLC until the game is fixed, but the time is running out and the clock is ticking. I’m not the only one who still hasn’t booted up the game yet. It’s the holiday season. This is the time for DICE to make or break themselves with fixing these problems in terms of a large wave of people about to flood their servers (or cry trying). Let’s all join together and hope they can pull it off as BF4 has become easily one of the most loved shooters of all time (despite what you may have heard last night on that corporate cheese show). Good luck guys, I know you can do this.

Killzone: Shadow Fall (PS4 Exclusive) Adds Left Handed Support (Huh?) And Bug Fixes w/ 1.05 Update

Free updates, we like ’em, we loathe em. On one hand they are free and probably improve the game we’re playing (unless it’s EA’s Battlefield 4 but hey, that’s another story for another article). Killzone: Shadow Fall on PlayStation 4 will now allow you to aim with the left stick and walk with the right stick. This is a feature that barely any games support and yet Guerrilla Games are calling it “Left Handed Support” as if it’s a standardized function of controllers.

If anybody actually prefers to play with this feel free to correct me but I think it would be way too hard to get used to after not having the feature made possible for so many years worth of games since the last one I’ve seen that supports swapping the thumbsticks. That also got me to thinking, if this is really important to people and helpful for lefties – shouldn’t all games support it? How hard is it really to swap key bindings from one stick to the other in an options menu? Not sure but in any event, here are your patch notes!

Patch 1.05 bugs fixes:

Call of Duty: Ghosts Patch for Windows PC Version Released [Details Here]


The following patch notes detail the performance, stability, and additional fixes made possible by the new version of Call of Duty: Ghosts on the Windows PC. NVidia features have been harnessed by the game which made headlines with its initially surprising RAM requirement (later reduced). Now we see crashes removed and latency fixed for AMD graphics solutions as well as a number of other fixes including load-outs appearing to be restricted. Take a look at the following details below released officially by Infinity Ward this morning.


  • Improved framerate performance when traversing moving platforms.
  • Improved latency for AMD graphics cards.
  • Improved performance issues caused by spamming.
  • Improved shader warming and level load performance.


  • Fixed crash in CODeSports play.
  • Fixed spawn crash for specific maps/modes.
  • Improved usability of broadcaster HUD.
  • Additional animations added for broadcaster mode.
  • Improved steam friends functionality.
  • Fixed smoke flickering and graphical corruption within blurred area of dual render scope.
  • Re-enabled fur and smoke DLLs from nVidia.

Additional Fixes

  • Fixed a variety of map specific spawn issues .
  • Fixed lobby migration closing the create a class screen.
  • Fixed not showing attachments and weapon camo for players while in private match lobby.
  • Fixed dog’s extended kill not showing properly in final killcam.
  • Fixed loadouts appearing restricted if a restricted perk was selected in specialist strike package even though specialist wasn’t equipped.
  • Fixed split screen UI issue that could potentially leave player in a bad state.
  • Fixed issue when selecting store from squads.
  • Fix to remember spectator team when switching to freecam in broadcaster mode.
  • Fixed issue with loading into specific maps with ghost mask equipped.
