On My Nintendo.com the Nintendo Switch has sold out, in only 8 minutes. The Nintendo Switch has been constantly sold out as fast as possible, whenever it gets into stock again. Let’s hope you are one of the lucky ones to get your hands on of these Switch’s. Nintendo promises to up production for the Switch starting soon, so let’s hope.
Splatoon 2 Pre-Orders in Japan have sky rocketed through the rough. With 800K stand alone copies of the game being pre-ordered there. This is not counting worldwide sales, or even the Switch and Spaltoon 2 Bundles in Japan. It seems that Nintendo has a huge title on their hands that has generated a lot of positive buzz. You can find the figures on COMG to see how it compares sales wise.
Splatoon 2 has approximately 800k preorders in Japan (maybe more, maybe less). In a single day should be top selling Switch game in Japan.

As we all know the Nintendo Switch is a massive success, outselling the Wii by more than ten percent in the U.S., and selling out upon launch with nearly 3 million units. Now it has been hard to find a Switch as of late, and some people are upset by this. Nintendo made a statement “For autumn and beyond, we will continue to work to ensure that as many products as possible can be delivered to our customers towards the end of the year.” So production will increase, especially by the Holiday season in time for Super Mario Odyssey, Nintendo’s juggernaut.
Player Unknown Battleground is the massively successful early access game on Steam. It’s now broken the 4 million units sold threshold, becoming a massive success. The game will likely to continue to get more and more popular. With the upcoming Xbox One release, the title can become a household name for sure. Congrats the team behind the game, looking forward to seeing how the game updates throughout the years.
3 months… 4 million copies of @PUBATTLEGROUNDS sold… Thank you all again for your continuing support <3

ARMS is the big new fighting game IP from Nintendo for their new platform the Switch. It is a massive hit in Japan selling 100,652 beating out every game on the market in Japan. Funny enough Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, and Breath of the Wild are number 2 and 3 on that list. ARMS has outperformed Tekken 7 despite the larger install base on the PS4 in Japan. Tekken 7 has sold 76,603, while ARMS sold over 100k in 2 days. Nintendo Switch has been a huge hit in Japan and in the world, and now their new IP ARMS is beating out well established fighting game series in Japan.
Nioh and Nier: Automata have both been discounted on Amazon. Nioh has seen a discount to $39.99 for a new copy, $35.63 for used, along with the Nioh Collector’s Edition Strategy Guide at the price of $28.74. Nier: Automata has a discount of $49.99 for a new copy and $44.99 for a used copy. Now is a great time to pick up these PS4 hits if you missed out on them.
Frictional Games’ sci-fi horror game SOMA, released just 10 days ago to universal acclaim. The developer saw it fitting to release a brand new trailer celebrating the game’s praise and highlighting some of the terrors that await those who yet to take the plunge. A new blog post reveals many details about the game, including just how well it fared commercially.
After its first week SOMA has sold 92,000 copies across all platforms, compared to one of Frictional’s previous titles Amnesia: The Dark Descent, which sold 30,000 in the first month (around 20,000 the first week).
“The money that we’ve got from this will pretty much pay our company expenses for another 2 years. Sales are still going pretty strongly too, with a total of around 2,000 copies sold per day.”
The studio’s goal for SOMA was for it to reach 100,000 units sold after the first month. It seems they’ll have no trouble achieving it but they’re still far from recouping all of their expenses.
“We need to sell almost 3 times that amount to do that. But given that it took us 5 years to make the project, there’s no immediate stress to do so. One of the great things about funding SOMA 100% ourselves is that all money earned goes into our own pockets and is directly used to fund our upcoming projects. So we are under no pressure to recoup immediately so long as we get enough to keep going – which we certainly have now.”
Check out the accolade trailer below and You can read the blog to learn even more.
SOMA is out now for PC and PS4.

Let’s keep those fingers crossed just in case, but it would seem evident by the overwhelmingly positive response to this release and the minimal marketing budget put behind it that Capcom has something big up their sleeve which this Remaster was merely an introduction to… or so we hope…
Excerpt from the Official Press Release:
The title which launched on January 20th has also broken the record for the biggest selling day one digital title on the PlayStation® Network.
