Grand Theft Auto V PlayStation 4 Review

Grand Theft Auto V PlayStation 4 Review - RealGamerNewz

Straight from the first step into Los Santos the textures and graphics are exactly what we’ve all been hoping for, depth visuals. Whether your returning from PS3 or this is your first visit to Los Santo’s, you are in for a treat. The environment looks super smooth with eye-popping details in every object, I dare say Rockstar may have we finally tamed GTA’s beastly new engine and harnessed its power properly on next-gen consoles.

A ton of new features, upgrades, and individual content pieces have been added to the game, the best of which I can say, DRAW DISTANCE has been improved. The worst thing I can say is that fans are tired of waiting for Heists missions to release, and although it’s great they’re being prepped for release now that the next-gen launches of Grand Theft Auto V are out – we were ready for them literally a year ago. Hopefully the build up is worth the wait, I’m surely not envying the pressure Rockstar Games must be feeling on that one.

Exclusive Content for those who have already played Grand Theft Auto V on previous systems is included in the game surprisingly enough. This extends from solving a Murder Mystery eventually leading to an unlockable graphics filter for the game, exclusive weapons including a Hatchet and high power Rail Gun, the Wildlife Photography Challenge, Stock Car Races, and some other stuff we won’t mention because it’s just more fun finding on your own.

GTA V RealGamerNewz PS4 Review

The liquid graphic textures that end up splattered on your car or on the ground appear raised and with proper depth and lighting. The end result is what looks a three dimensional effect. Problem is, the splatter pattern leaves little to be desired. Fluid animations overall though have seen a great upgrade.

In terms of overall graphics, EQAA (Enhanced Quality Anti-Aliasing) and high-quality FXAA (Fast Approximate Anti-Aliasing) has been upgraded according to Rockstar Games’ Reviewer’s Guide handed down to press. Antisotropic filtering has also been implemented in a way that is meant to make far away images look sharper. This definitely works while maintaining a larger draw distance, and nearly zero pop-up that I can find.More specs are listed including Tesselation and displacement mapping as well as Parallax occlusion which can account for some of our earlier observations with gooey substances looking more real.

Rockstar Games also boasts improved physics, particle effects, lighting (over 3x the number of light sources from Xbox 360 / PlayStation 3, among other lighting upgrades), re-modeled textures, re-sculpted objects, volumetric light pollution, and more.

There’s been over 150 songs added to the sound-track, great small touches like High Definition versions of the television shows you can watch in-game at your characters’ mansions such as Republican Space Rangers or Impotent Rage. There’s even new vehicles to check out.

Online mode has been increased to 30 players with 2 spectators, a new first person mode has been released revealing all kinds of great easter eggs and hidden goodies in the game. FPS mode also has its own (optional) cover system to duck and lean up against walls, new ways to aim, and controls that feel like a first person shooter not the regular GTA just pasted into first person. This can be customized, so fear not if those words brought little comfort.

GTA Online also comes pre-patched now, with 11 updates already included off the bat. GTA Online on next-gen consoles will usher in a new experience, which is great because the last gen version has succumb to many hackers as of late who enjoy trolling and ruining the experience for others with cheats and / or mods to the game world peer-to-peer servers (since Rockstar doesn’t appear to host any of their own). Hopefully that problem will still be patched on last-gen systems though, and owners won’t be left behind.

Final Verdict:

If you haven’t been a part of the Grand Theft Auto V Experience yet, you don’t know what you’re missing. In this version, Driving stability has been taken to a new level. The overall feel of the game as well as the surroundings are meshed without unsightly lines or glitches even at top speeds. New crash animations have been introduced with subtle slow motion scenes just before impact lasting split seconds so you can bear witness to your self-inflicted carnage. Glass smashing, smoke burrowing, tiny pieces, and particles disintegrate as it all unfolds.

After seeing the difference between the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 versions of Grand Theft Auto V, I really appreciate the work that went into the upgrade details. This game comes with everything that made the first version great, smoother graphics with new textures and objects, and higher quality engine performance. The extra content added will be producing hours of replay value and Heists is still on the way according to Rockstar. All of these things are what makes revisiting Grand Theft Auto V well worth a second purchase.

Late this past Sunday Rockstar games released the Games On Demand Version of Grand Theft Auto San Andreas on Xbox Live Arcade for Xbox 360 for a staggering low price of $3.74 USD. Would You Kindly ~ Bioshock Infinite Burial At Sea Review

images (7)

Bioshock Infinite has been out for a little over a year now. Now we finally have all the DLC in our hands, mainly the two episodes of Burial at Sea. I will be reviewing both episodes as if they were one, since it really feels like they should have been included together in the first place. So, would you kindly:

Episode 1: The first episode of the story features a familiar setting and game play. You play as Booker, like in Infinite, and also have Elizabeth as a companion character as well. Gameplay is the same, Elizabeth can open tears at will, toss equipment, and various other stuff. The story takes us back to the familiar place of Rapture, with the graphics of Rapture enhanced; as in all the Big Daddy’s touched up, the scenery, and the general textures. It looks very good, despite Bioshock Infinite not being the most graphically demanding game. The story takes place before the first Bioshock and is takes place after the events of Bioshock Infinite. The story in episode 1 clearly shows us that this is an epilogue to Infinite and prequel to the original titles. Without spoiling too much, the little sisters play a significant role throughout both episodes, and a surprise show down at the end will may make you want to throw your controller at the TV.

Episode 2: The gameplay and the way you approach enemies this time around, totally changes the formula that Bioshock and System Shock both have previously used. This time around stealth is the heavy factor and Elizabeth is the new playable character, she is sadly no where near as strong as Booker was, and she can not just simply run into a room like Chuck Norris and hip fire kill everyone in sight. You must use wits, powers, and weapons while avoiding straight up confrontation with your enemies, especially the Big Daddies. The story takes place right away after the first episode and you can expect a few familiar faces appearing such as Atlas from the original Bioshock. Elizabeth is now emotionally scarred after everything she has been through, she can now see through all the doors with her unique ability of opening tears, and can see in to time (the past, present, and future) along with all of it’s variables and constants. All the “Infinite” versions of her seem to all come down her purpose in this story. Which is a huge twist and you should love it when you see it.

Replay Ability: High

Final Verdict: Bioshock Infinite Burial at Sea now  a complete package is a cool addition to the lore. If you are into the story of the Bioshock games, this really clears some of the confusing parts about the original games, even though  some things about Infinite still remain a mystery. Most questions for Bioshock have been answered, with some shocking revelations, along with some cool gameplay that helps you push through the story. Bioshock Infinite Burial at Sea gets a 9 out of 10.

Irrational Games Team Laid Off, Is Bioshock VITA Vaporware?

Bioshocks Elizabeth In real Life

Update: Apparently Ken Levine is giving the Bioshock development responsibility over to 2K Games. Hopefully the VITA game will still follow through on the original vision of being a standalone game with a full console game experience separate from the other titles events but in the same universe, as its initial announcement had caused much anticipation on the platform.

Ken Levine of Irrational Games announced today that the company responsible for Bioshock and Bioshock Infinite is effectively “winding down” as we know it for favor of a new game design technique involving smaller studio employment and larger focus on what the gaming community wants. Irrational Games is set right in our home town of Boston, Massachusetts. Ken also announced that the primary focus of himself and his team right now is to help those who have been laid off to find new jobs in the games industry, in addition to his new unannounced project’s pre-production which has apparently been going on.

‘Narrative-drive games that are extremely replay-able’ (paraphrased slightly) is the only hint of future projects to come given by Levine at this time. Levine also mentioned that the next project will be completely digital and have no physical edition. This move has many questioning the future of the Bioshock series as if to completely ignore that Ken and his remaining 15 members of staff want to do something groundbreaking again.

However, VITA owners were promised an exclusive game that would stand on its own for the Bioshock series – and that may now be vaporware or if it’s not then it could be outsourced for development elsewhere. Ken Levine announced that his team is heading up a brand new project and will still remain under Take-Two Interactive, the hugely successful parent company of Rockstar Games (makers of the Grand Theft Auto series) and more.

Grand Theft Auto V Sales = 32.5 Million Units And Growing

During an investor relations briefing, Rockstar Games’ parent company Take-Two Interactive has announced that the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 title Grand Theft Auto V has sold over 32.5 million units* and gaining by the second. In addition to being named Game Of The Year at many publications, and breaking initial sales records for speed and mass volume (taking away the Call of Duty throne and defending it against a next-gen Battlefield and Call of Duty), GTA V appears to also be stretching its arms out really long and far out here in the gaming world with no signs of slowing down.

GameInformer Reveals Next-Gen Exclusive ‘Evolve’ From Creators Of Left 4 Dead

Evolve by Left 4 Dead 3 Creators

After GameInformer Magazine recently featured Destiny on their last issue’s cover, and reports began circulating last night that their next cover would make gamers “flip out” we speculated that the potential for a Halo reveal was high coming off of Microsoft’s announcements that Halo on Xbox ONE would indeed arrive on schedule for 2014 from 343 Industries. All of the pieces seemed to fit together and it just made sense. However, GameInformer shocked the world today when they instead revealed a New IP called Evolve which was purchased by 2K Games from THQ for over $10 million and is being developed as a four versus one multiplayer survival versus predator gameplay experience from the developers of the Left 4 Dead series and the Counter-Strike games.

One person takes on the role of the beast that four others must take out, considerably changing up the experience from what players are used to. Turtle Rock Studios aims to bring out the title exclusively for Next-Gen PS4 and Xbox ONE systems as well as PC meaning that the game will not see a PS3 / Xbox 360 release and should be able to take full power of the new hardware gamers are adopting in rapid style. Take a look below at the Interview Exclusive from GameInformer and if you like it you should also give their magazine a purchase and check them out, after all it was printed media that gave rise to the websites you read today and paved the way for this style of article-creation and reading in the first place.

Fallout 4 Trademark Filing And Teaser Site Were Fakes, Is The New Bully Trademark Fake Too?

Fallout 4 PS4

Recently one of our authors discussed a growing pile of evidence hinting that Bethesda Softworks may announce a Fallout 4 game. Those claims grew stronger as it began to be speculated that a countdown to Fallout 4 had started and a Fallout 4 copyright was allegedly filed. These types of reports are nothing new as we’ve been seeing Fallout 4 demand cause rumors since July 2013 and perhaps even earlier than that.

For now however, it seems Bethesda has put the cat back into the bag after giving it a few solid knocks on the head. Today it was revealed that the trademark filed by Bethesda was actually not filed by Bethesda at all and has been removed from Europe’s trademark databases alongside a Shenmue III debunking.

Keep up with RealGamerNewz.com as we stay tuned to this developing story coming out of Europe, and remember that lately we’ve been seeing a lot of fake trademarks and copyrights.

Is Take-Two Interactive’s recent Bully filing a fake as well? Only time will tell…
