This ending is probably the least popular among the core fan base of this game. It sees all life somehow magically changed into a new framework a new DNA where there no organics and synthetics anymore everyone is the same. It even appears to me that the galaxy seems to be brainwashed cause if Wreav is still alive even he now is a good guy. This could be because there’s no reason to fight but it should not change who you are it seems stupid to even consider that. It has been seen that synthetics and organics can be peaceful without this option. For example EDI is a Normandy computer that puts her self in a machine body but is not hostile and will obey Shepard and fight the Reapers to the death. If you manage the Geth and Quarians to be union on Rannoch which is hard to do unless you took all right steps but in this case they are working together once again and it seemed to working to me despite the logic of the Catalyst being. The future of the galaxy seems to be simply peaceful but what does peace mean to a cold AI?

This ending was used for two things: the middle road and the pacifist conclusion. Both Control and Synthesis are forcing all other sentient beings to evolve so no one is.. morally better.
This is the one I initially picked before I considered IT (which is a different story). I chose it because no one has to die and it will balance the flaws and strengths of both parties. Although EDI is not hostile towards organics necessarily, she could be like when she first “woke up” and killed a huge number of humans.
What I wanted to point about Wreav is that if he were melded with EVERY other conscious mind, he wouldn’t be that way. The Reapers claim to only be violent to SAVE organics so this is supposedly not how they would act normally. Think of Buddhist monks who seem to be attuned to the universe and all conscious. Buddhists are one of the few religious groups that actually stay true to the concept of nonviolence.
The Reapers try and make out that they ALMOST feel this way and that their plane of existence is “free of all weakness.” However, they lack love and organic souls. I think the Synthesis made lots of sense.
