Recently featured in our article about the Games of January 2018 and trending in polls among readers as one of their Most Anticipated Games, Monster Hunter: World is a title that brings a traditionally renowned franchise into a new existence among 4K Gaming quality graphics with highly smooth online gameplay experiences. The dream come true for many home console players who have always hoped for an ultimate vision of what Monster Hunter could be if given true home console power rather than only handheld gaming as its platform for a change.

Co-Op will become even more of a focus than ever as the PlayStation community gets their hands on what fans of home gaming and Monster Hunter have always hoped for all along. Monster Hunter: World is a massive return to form with a modern twist from developer / publisher Capcom, who has been reigniting passion in more than one of their franchises lately. The company is doing great to be part of a wave of Japanese game development studios staging a huge takeover and comeback in the game industry.

Releasing Worldwide on Friday, January 26, 2018 in North America, Japan, and Europe, Monster Hunter: World will feature Sword and Shield, Dual Blades, Great Sword, Long Sword, Hammer, Hunting Horn, Lance, Gunlance, Switch Axe, Insect Glaive, Charge Blade, Light Bowgun, Heavy Bowgun, and the Bow as far as weapon choices go. Confirmed Monsters in the game so far include Barnos, Gajau, Girros, Grimalkyne, Jagras, Kestodon, Mernos, Noios, Anjanath, Great Girros, Great Jagras, Jyuratodus, Kulu-Ya-Ku, Legiana, Nergigante, Odogaron, Paolumu, Pukei-Pukei, Radobaan, Tzitzi-Ya-Ku , Tobi-Kadachi, and Zorah Magdaros.

Some locations for the game revealed thus far include Ancient Forest, Wildspire Waste, Coral Highlands, Rotten Vale, and a yet-to-be named area for Monster Hunter: World. Ancient Forest:

With 16 sections to the area, Small Monsters included in the Ancient Forest are: Aptonoth, Grimalkyne, Jagras, Kestodon, Mernos, Mosswine, and Vespoid. Large Monsters in the Ancient Forest include: Anjanath, Great Jagras, Kulu-Ya-Ku, Pukei-Pukei, Rathian, Rathalos, Tobi-Kadachi, and Deviljho. There is no known hazard for the area at this time.

Wildspire Waste:
大蟻塚の荒地

It is unknown how many areas are in the Wildspire Waste but Small Monsters here include: Apceros, Grimalkyne, Kelbi, Kestodon, Mernos, Noios, and Vespoid. Large monsters in the Wildspire Waste include: Anjanath, Barroth, Diablos, Jyuratodus, Kulu-Ya-Ku, Nergigante, and Rathian. The hazard of Extreme Heat is active in Wildspire Waste.

Coral Highlands:
陸珊瑚の台地

We don’t know yet exactly how many parts there are to the Coral Highlands. Small Monsters in the area include: Kelbi, Raphinos, and Shamuosu. Large monsters in this section include: Legiana, Odogaron, Paolumu, and Tzitzi-Ya-Ku. It is unknown what, if any, is the hazard of this land.

Rotten Vale:
瘴気の谷

 

Although the exact number of scenes available in the Rotten Vale location is yet unknown, the Small Monsters found there can include the Girros, the Hornetaur, and the Raphinos. Large Monsters nearby include Great Girros, Odogaron, Radobaan, a yet unnamed Monster Hunter: World enemy creature known as “Monster 004”. Hazards of the area include Toxic Gases and Acid Puddles.

In the unnamed area of the game which has been shown to players, not much is known yet.  What is known, is that Large Monsters expected to appear here include Nergigante and Zorah Magdaros.
