Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Confirmed w/ Release Date & Teaser

Zombies, Code Words, Top Secret, Above Classified, Black Ops… Four. Yep, you were right. It’s real and it’s happening this year. Hundreds of thousands of people have already seen the teaser video you’re about to witness below. Perhaps millions have already heard about the leaks including the James Harden hat fiasco, and for years EuroGamer’s sources have whispered in their ears tickling the very fibers of silk-like hairs protruding from the epidermis of gaming’s outer auditory canals. Finally, it’s all coming together.

With industry fears of micro-transactions, lootbox scandals nearly crippling the Star Wars franchise on game consoles, and Activision Blizzard recently patenting and triumphing new forms of matchmaking that focus on getting players to spend money on illusions of advancement rather than finding the best ping and matching skill levels together – there’s a lot to be proven still.

When the Call of Duty creators stabbed Activision in the back and left for EA to create the failing Titanfall franchise the company known as Infinity Ward became a shell of its former self. Treyarch rose to the occasion producing some of the best COD games ever known to man and has had a particularly large success with Black Ops 2 remaining a fan favorite for players worldwide.

With Black Ops 3 still going strong and celebrating its “Operation Snowblind” Event as we speak, can Treyarch pull it off again and keep the series strong? Can the developers of these games pull through and battle the corporate greed at higher executive ranks in order to deliver what their fans truly deserve? We will find out soon enough and hope for the best as we cover this ongoing story.

Official Black Ops 4 Teaser Video:

Side Note: No Roman Numerals. Many folks yesterday saw the hat on professional gamer James Harden which revealed a Black Ops logo showing four “hash marks” instead of three. It could be easily unnoticed if it were any other title, or written off as a fan conspiracy. Being Black Ops, this actually was probably an intentional leak on the part of Activision Blizzard and Treyarch. The 4 lines are tally marks in which it is highly speculated that a fifth entry could use a horizontal-diagonal slash, just like counting in simple games when we were kids. This is likely just being done as a way to stand out from the crowd and avoid falling victim to overly common usage of roman numerals, subtitles, and plain numbering systems used by other games.
