Rainbow Six: Siege – Closed Alpha Announced for PC, But It Requires UPlay

Rainbow Six Siege Closed Alpha UPlay PC RealGamerNewz

You read that right. If you want to sink your teeth into the Closed Alpha for Rainbow Six: Siege, the upcoming first person shooter on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Windows PC set to attempt a revival of the series some time this year, then get ready to re-install the atrocity that is UPlay. Ubisoft and EA Games just can’t let go of their proprietary digital services, and are doing anything in their power to bring gamers over to the dark side despite heavy resistance.

This is in direct contrast to the fact that Ubisoft is still offering many of their games on Steam, and not even requiring UPlay DRM for some of them which is seen as a great improvement. EA Games on the other hand has washed their hands of anything to do with Steam long ago. Ubisoft are currently running a 75% off Steam Sale on many of their games which makes the timing of this all that more odd.
