In a recent press release, EA’s Visceral Games and KIDinaKORNER/Interscope Records, a label owned by Universal Music Group, announced that they had reached an agreement with Jason N Commons to use his newest single “Karma” as the title track just for Battlefield Hardline. This particular song was written specifically for Battlefield Hardline, even though one of Jason’s songs had been used earlier in a gameplay trailer for the game to begin with.
During the press release interview Steve Papoutsis, VP and General Manger of Visceral Games and Executive Producer of Battlefield Hardline explained why they chose this song. “The music, and moreover the audio help create that emotional experience you want gamers to feel as they play in the world we’ve built for them.”
In response to being asked about the opportunity to write for the game, Commons stated, “I have been a longtime gamer and I could not pass up the opportunity to be involved with a franchise I respect as much as Battlefield.”
As I wrote this article, I listened to this song and I have to say that it’s quite a great track. Definitely going to make the game more intense having a quality song like this at the helms. Can’t wait to see what other great songs EA is going to add to this awesome game!
Be sure to check out the song “Karma” by Jason N Commons. And don’t forget that Battlefield Hardline is set to release March 17,2015 in the US and March 20, 2015 in Europe.
