After Diablo III: Ultimate Evil Edition has released to a huge success and critical acclaim (including our own Review) of the game, Blizzard Entertainment has seen Destiny swoop in from partnered company Activision to take some of the spotlight away. Perhaps this had an effect on their decision in canceling an MMO project called Titan that has never actually been seen before by gamers or the press. That’s what some are hinting at.
Or are reports coming in wrong?
Has Titan just been cancelled around the time of Destiny as a coincidence? We can’t really be sure. A project that isn’t held to perfect standards will never see the light of day from a Blizzard Entertainment team anyways. Warcraft fans are not exactly thrilled of the idea for another MMO to take place either. It could simply be that Heroes of the Storm, the upcoming free-to-play MOBA from Blizzard, is taking priority and considered a much better investment.
Titan is scrapped and gone, most likely long lost forever now – but maybe it’s for the best. We have no proof the hypothetical game is even good.
