Producer of franchises such as Assassin’s Creed, Watch Dogs, and more, Jade Raymond announced today that she will peacefully depart from Ubisoft to pursue future ventures. Within this announcement there was a great degree of confidence expressed by Raymond in the ability of Ubisoft to continue its recent stride in releases.
“I’ve spent 10 extraordinary years at Ubisoft, and I am proud to have been part of many of the best teams in the industry making truly remarkable games
This is one of the hardest decisions of my career, but the Toronto studio is strong and on a solid path. I’m confident that now is a good time for me to transition leadership of the studio to Alex and to pursue my other ambitions and new opportunities.”
There was no mention of her next project and whether or not it would be in the games industry, but we at RealGamerNewz Staff want to all take a moment to express our sincere hope to see the creative talent which helped give birth to such long-lasting modern franchises continue to provide great ideas and perform great work in the entertainment industry. Here is Raymond’s statement regarding her future work:
“Stay tuned for more on what’s next for me, but for now, I’d like to thank Ubisoft for its partnership through the years, and I wish them the very best in all their next endeavors”
