Update: 2K has provided a statement.
“As stated on the Take-Two Interactive earnings call, 2K and Turtle Rock Studios are extending the development of Evolve by a few months to allow enough time to fully realize the vision for Evolve and meet our collective standards of creative excellence. We are encouraged by the press reaction and fan excitement coming out of a very successful E3, and we are now certain we are headed in the right direction with the game and we are confident in delivering a genre-defining product when Evolve launches on February 10, 2015.”
Worried about October, being a bit too crowded with video game releases? Well you can worry a bit less, unless you have been highly anticipating the release of Evolve from Turtle Rock Studios and 2K. The four vs one sci-fi first-person shooter from the creators of Left 4 Dead has been delayed, the Publisher announced.
Originally scheduled for an October 21st release, fans can now expect to get their hands on the game of February 10, 2015. Turtle Rock and 2K wants most likely wants more time to polish the game and deliver the best experience possible. Not to mention the title would be facing a lot of competition in the likes of Assassin’s Creed: Unity, The Evil Within and more, so maybe that had something to do with it as well.
October continues to become less and less crowded as the days roll on. Still too crowded though.
Stay tuned for more details. Evolve launches February 10th, 2015 for PS4, PC and Xbox One.
