Publisher Square Enix has officially confirmed Sleeping Dogs: Definitive Edition is not only coming to PS4 and Xbox One but also PC as well.
The remastered 2012 open world action title which was leaked a few days ago, has been confirmed to include all 24 pieces of the original’s DLC content, including the zombie themed ‘Nightmare in North Point’ and ‘Year of the Snake’ Senior producer Dan Sochan provided explained the DE is more than just a visual upgrade.
“We’re giving old and new fans a lot reasons to pick up the game, as we’ve gone beyond just increasing resolution and running at 1080p,” said Sochan. “We listened to the fans: we tuned gameplay, we added to the ambience of Hong Kong, increased audio fidelity and pushed the visuals further than we could on the previous generation of consoles.”
Fans of the original who would rather a sequel over a remastered version need not worry; United Front Games are developing a follow up called Triad Wars. The developer first revealed this info in 2013 in response to rumors of a trademark registration, citing “something we’ve wanted to do for ages.”
Sleeping Dogs: Definitive Edition will release on October 10th for PS4, PC and Xbox One.
