Square Enix has announced that those who pre-order the Standard or Limited Collector’s Edition of Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn on the next-generation Sony PS4 will be given Early Access to the cross-platform (PS3 / PC / PS4) MMORPG starting April 11, 2014 (which falls on a Friday).
There’s also a Phase 2 of the PS4 Beta currently running (ends April 7, 2014) that any PS4 owner can access through the PlayStation Network (PSN Store) and carries over experience and progress into the final build if purchased after gameplay in the Beta.
Here are instructions on how to sign up and play now.
1. Download Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn (beta version) on the PlayStation 4 by going to the PSN Store.
2. Start up FFXIV: ARR and log in to your Square Enix Account.
3. If you don’t have a Square Enix Account, one will need to be created. This is free and does not require a charge – but be careful when setting it up as these SE Accounts are notoriously easy to get locked out of.
