The Wolf Among Us: Episode 2 to Release Early Next Month

Just last October, Telltale games released the first episode of ‘The Wolf Among Us’, an adaptation of the critically acclaimed ‘Fables’ comic series by Bill Willingham. The first episode, titled “Faith” was a dark and amazing experience which earned a RGN Gold award. Since then, many have been waiting for some concrete info on the release of the second episode, ‘Smoke and Mirror’.

Well Kevin Bruner, Founder/President at Telltale has finally dropped the news earlier today that episode 2 should be out in the beginning of February. Here’s his official statement that can be found on Telltale’s community blog.

“Hey guys,

Kevin from Telltale here! Funny that this came up today, as we were planning the announcement of Ep 2, but… no time like the present!

Ep 2 should be available the first week of February. We are working hard with all of our partners (Xbox, PlayStation, Steam, Apple) to coordinate everything, but we’re confident enough to announce that here. The episode is looking really good (as is the rest of the season!). We are very concerned about the long delay for this episode, but this is one of those occasions where several things conspired against us (not to mention the additional delays due to the holidays). I won’t dive into the details, but it’s been an unusual and specific set of circumstances and we do not anticipate it happening again as we go forward with the rest of the season.

So there you have it. First week of February! “

Hopefully, no more obstacles get in the way of the game’s release as the four month wait has been a pain and many of us can’t wait to dive back into this captivating and mysterious world. I know I can’t. I literally did a fist pump upon reading the news.

We’ll keep you updated as more info is released.
