UPDATE: This has been confirmed via Amazon posting the following on their Destiny listing:
“Beta will be available in early 2014 on the following platforms: PS4 system, PS3 system, Xbox One, and Xbox 360. Limited time only. While beta codes last. Internet connection is required.”
Below sits the unedited original post:
Bungie and Activision have been putting together a respectable marketing campaign for Destiny that involves reaching out to the community rather than forcing the title down gamers’ throats, and so far the response is decent. Many PlayStation 4 players particularly are looking forward to having a Bungie creation on their platform, the title looks to combine Single Player story-line experience with co-operative and competitive multi-player elements into one converged gameplay scenario with the esteemed Halo developer aiming to do this in a unique way.
This week a new rumor has surfaced that early access to the game’s Beta will be awarded to pre-order purchasers, though currently there is no confirmation of this. Destiny is a multi-platform game heading to next-generation consoles as well as the current gen Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Although the game currently has no release date, it is expected to arrive some time next year (2014). As always, do not sign up for Beta tests at random websites online! There are a lot of fake scam sites popping up for EA’s Titanfall as well as other games, use your best judgement and always find officially confirmed ways to get your Beta access.
