Xbox Live Gold, the paid service for Xbox 360 from Microsoft, will be free this entire weekend starting Friday October 4, 2013. Players will be able to get on GTA Online once Rockstar Games puts up some more servers and play the multiplayer portion of GTA V together until they are addicted and likely subscribe to Gold shortly after. This is yet another one of those marketing plans of genius at work here for Microsoft’s paid subscription service.
GTA Online features innovative gameplay mechanics such as buying your own apartment, playing with friends in an open world / sandbox separate from the single player campaign, allowing players to create their own missions, and more in the living breathing world of GTA V.
