The upcoming bank robber video game Payday 2 may be getting a lot of attention, and anticipation may be heating up as the Closed Beta rages on via Steam, but you’ll probably be surprised to find out that the game has not only broke even already (in an industry with 60% fail rate on average), it’s also begun turning profit. This is based on the cost of development, publishing, and marketing weighed against pre-orders of the game. Starbreeze Studios (the parent company of Overkill Software) announced this today as 505 Games heads to publishing the title on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Windows PC August 13, 2013 using the Diesel 2.0 engine and will feature both single and multi-player action.
You can pre-order the game now and get all of the stuff mentioned in the picture above, CLICK HERE for full-size image and you’re welcome for the added “coolness” factor I have blessed it with. Feel free to steal it and post it all over the streets of the world wide web to help promote a good game out there. To all the giant corps out there struggling but releasing great games, let this be a lesson on budgets, if you make them reasonable then you just might start making money before you even ship.
