Heads up Assassins, there’s more Creed in the pipeline. Ubisoft Toronto is already working on the next Assassin’s Creed game. According to Jade Raymond, managing director of Ubisoft Toronto, the studio, which is currently wrapping up “Splinter Cell: Blacklist” will be working on five upcoming titles, including “One of the franchises that’s very near and dear to me, Assassin’s Creed,” and that the new game is “not Black Flag because we’re currently shipping. So an upcoming Assassin’s Creed.”
For Raymond this is a return to the franchise, as she was a producer on the original “Assassin’s Creed” and an executive producer on “Assassin’s Creed II.”
So what do you think? Are you excited about more Assassin’s Creed? Do you think that they’ve found in Edward Kenway an Assassin on par with fan favorite Ezio Auditore? If so, will it be a direct sequel to “Black Flag?” If not, where and when do you think this one will be set? Turn on your Eagle Vision and start speculating.
Is this just another April Fools? Well it’s April 1st, I guess we will have to wait and find out.
