A sequel could be in store for the recently released, highly acclaimed Tomb Raider game which was launched to much controversy. Originally, players discussed the reboot of the title as hypocrisy and a turn against the true Lara Croft character. Later down the line, Crystal Dynamics and Square Enix have indeed proven themselves worthy of the fans’ admiration and the game has been mostly a success among reviewers. The game ends with Lara saying: “I’m not going home” and if all signs are correct it would seem she doesn’t have to. The title is reportedly created to run in a long form plotline that can span multiple titles, rather than just the single reboot seen today. We earlier saw the release of episodic content in the co-op Lara Croft and the Guardian of the Light (PSN and XBLA releases). This experimental release format was prologue to the future as Tomb Raider sequel is likely imminent and the reborn franchise could even turn into a trilogy.Be sure to check out our Tomb Raider Review while awaiting confirmation of these details.
