Earlier in this current console generation of the video game industry it was brought to light that the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 fail to adhere to the HDMI 1.4 standards required for the true quality of stereoscopic 3d hd streaming. PlayStation 4‘s impending announcement has many wondering if the 3D standard will be forgotten once again until mid-lifecycle for the machine.
This remains to be seen but one thing is for sure, the HDMI 1.4a port said to be on the machine will bring its output levels to never before seen visual performance from a console. This may work with existing 3D Blu Ray’s as well as later media.
