‘343 Industries has detailed this Monday’s playlist update for Halo 4 and also offered a sneak peek at an upcoming title update.
This week sees the debut of the Team Throwdown “v2″ competitive playlist. This playlist includes Team Slayer, Capture the Flag, Extraction, and King of the Hill. Some details of the “v2″ settings can be found below:
|Teams||4 vs. 4|
|Score to Win||Dependent upon game type|
|Motion Tracker||Ally Movement|
|Join In Progress||Disabled|
|v2 Game Loadout|
|Starting Weapon||Battle Rifle|
|King of the Hill||Shutout|
The developer also shared a few notes from the game’s upcoming title update which is set to release “within the next two weeks.” According to 343, the update “addresses some of the concerns we’ve been hearing from the community.” The notes can be found below:
- Reduced the range of the Boltshot’s damage scaling over distance. The previous effective range for 1-hit kills was 20′-25′. The range has been reduced to 15′.
- Fixed an issue that did not allow players to create respawn timers or disable instant respawn in custom games.
- Fixed issues with friendly fire against vehicles. If FF is disabled, damage / EMPs from friendly sources will no longer damage vehicles that are fully controlled by your team.
