Huge Final Fantasy PC Gaming Sale on Steam

After FF fan Kyriya created a version for the Pocket Edition characters of Final Fantasy XV to make their way into FFXV Windows Edition, Square Enix is celebrating by giving half off of almost every Final Fantasy game on the Steam platform in addition to upscaling the work started by Kyriya and launching Noctis Pocket Edition Skin for FFXV Windows Edition (with Gladiolus, Ignis, and Prompto to come later).

The sale brings Final Fantasy XV Windows Edition down to $24.99 US Dollars instead of $49.99 (or $33.49 instead of $66.99 Canadian). This also includes an official 4K Resolution Pack of textures and Mod Organizer application. Other titles included range from classics to recently releases. *Prices listed in US Dollars.

Notably among the titles on sale is The Zodiac Age which sees Final Fantasy XII getting the full remaster treatment while also receiving a huge overhaul of gameplay mechanics and job systems. Those who were wanting to try out Square’s new take on the old loved and hated title in the series now have a chance to pick it up at a lesser price and even refund the game if it fails to impress in the first hour and a half thanks to Steam Refunds.

One of the most favorite’d titles in the series, the ninth Final Fantasy, has only been given a 30% discount and this seems to be the game that Square Enix likes to charge the most for despite its age. FFIX is a great entry point for anyone who has missed out on the franchise and although purists will prefer FFIV, FFVI, and FFVII typically, FFIX does do a great job of putting all of the core elements of the series in one place with a well refined experience that still adds something new.

FFIV: The After Years is the sequel to FFIV which came years later and was exclusive to Nintendo platforms for a while (such as Wii and DS). The game can now be snatched up on Steam for a good price thanks to this sale. A game that took players to inner-earth, the moon, and saw a dark knight commit to the way of light after facing his own mirror-match against the black elements of his heart embodied by a doppelganger, FFIV is considered one of the best games in the series. That means there’s probably plenty of people who want to try out this sequel which may have eluded their hands until now.

Many other titles are involved in the sale including World of Final Fantasy which takes a lot of new approaches to the franchise while also being the most recent turn-based version of FF we’ve seen and of course the Final Fantasy X / X-2 HD Remaster which holds the hearts of many gamers ever since the original became a smash hit on the best-selling game console of all time, Sony PlayStation 2.
