Editor’s Note: DJ Killzown Jones is back and provides bleeding-edge coverage of an exclusive news item confirmed straight from the source, live on camera, during his attendance at the recent Mo Game Con convention. If you’re a subscriber to his media channels you may have seen this scoop early, if not you can find more about that here. Mortal Kombat is a series that has been around since 1992 and has filled many gamers’ childhood with a bloody good time fighting in the fun-factor focused arena. The franchise has over 35 million units sold in total and Mortal Kombat X is the fastest selling game in the series. Check out the latest from DJ Killzown Jones in his RGN article below.
Netherrealm Studios has been hitting gamers and the FGC with the one two punch over the past several years first with Mortal Kombat 9 in 2011 and Injustice Gods Among Us in 2013 with Mortal Kombat X And Injustice 2 in recent years but this year we got nothing. Mortal Kombat Series Co-Creator Ed Boon has been very cryptic (or Kryptic for you MK Fans out there, don’t hit me) on Twitter as of late, changing his twitter profile to include both Batman And Scorpion which fans speculated maybe a hint to a sequel to the studio’s 2008 Mortal Kombat Vs DC Universe game which garnered a lot of backlash for toning down the violent kombat of MK games to accommodate the Detective Comics Super Heroes and their Rouge Gallery.
Ed may not be a liberty to speak to the fans just yet but former Mortal Kombat Actors Master Daniel Pesina and Richard Divizio recently Konfirmed that MK XI is indeed in production. Master Pesina revealed that his younger brother Carlos as well as his students that attend Chicago Wushu school of Kung Fu and Tai Chi are performing Motion Capture for the game at Mo Game Con. Mortal Kombat XI doesn’t have a release date and has not been formally announced by either Netherrealm Studios nor WB Games but check out the video below then keep it locked to RealGamerNewZ for more coverage on the game as it develops.
