Anno Online Gets Huge Update; SimCity Without Glitches? [Screenshots]

Anno Online Update 4

In Anno Online, you build cities that have the potential to become symbols of wealth and human proliferation. Sounds familiar right? Except this is medieval, oh, and this one actually works! Anno Online is a browser-based game but has been manufactured with the attitude of a full release project. You can sign up (or use your U-Play account) to jump into Anno Online right now by clicking HERE to visit their Official Website.

For people already ahead of the curve playing this, massive updates to the game have also arrived, including a brand new shipyard design, an expansion to the Treasure Hunt feature, and the tutorial mode has been completely re-vamped in order to do a better job of getting noobs into action as quickly as possible. Anno Online is derived of major gameplay elements from Anno 1404 and is developed by BlueByte while being published by Ubisoft (hence the U-Play integration). You can check it out for free today.

Excerpt from Press Release:

“The shipyard will be unlocked already at the amount of 900 vassals. This gives to players more time to understand how the ship system works in the game and to prepare for the colonization of a second island (as soon as the player has reached the amount of 1500 vassals).”

DOTA 2’s Revolutionary Release Model: ‘Players Being Added In Waves to Maximize Game Performance’

DOTA 2 Steam

When Valve Software announced DOTA 2’s much anticipated release on Steam as a retail product, they didn’t just throw a ton of people into their servers until it crashed (like some other games that shall go without being named). Instead Valve has done something smart here, and began adding players in waves. We urge many game companies, especially MMO companies, to heed this strategy as a lesson from the company that embraces the community in unprecedented ways through their highly accomplished PC Gaming digital distribution gateway. You can download DOTA 2 HERE today.

Watch Dogs – Live App ATM Hack [Video]

Watch Dogs PS4 XO Wii U 360 PS3 PC

In the following trailer released by Ubisoft, Watch Dogs gameplay is acted out in real life. ATM’s are hacked with an app, and the money comes flying out of it as everyone around scrambles to grab some. This game takes place in the world that we basically live in already. Everyone is talking, on their apps, texts, emails, voice calls, and beyond. But nobody knows just exactly who’s listening, who can access these systems and use them as they please.

Watch Dogs not only addresses this issue, it is also a massive and living open-world experience that puts those powers in your hands as all electronics bow to your command. Watch Dogs releases on November 19, 2013 in North America, on November 21, 2013 in Australia, and on November 22, 2013 for Nintendo Wii U, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Windows PC. The game will also launch on next-generation consoles Xbox ONE and PlayStation 4 at some point during the third fiscal quarter of 2013.

Roguelike PC Exclusive: “The Pit: MindGames” Expansion Out Now for Sword of the Stars: The Pit

Sword of the Stars The Pit - MindGames DLC

If you know what a roguelike game is then chances are you’ve played heavily praised Sword of the Stars: The Pit exclusively on PC and available now on Steam. If you aren’t in the know, the roguelike genre is a variation (often called ‘variant’) of the massively popular role playing game (RPG) genre.

Host to more of a cult classic type of fanbase, the roguelike genre arguably began almost as soon as the computer with titles like Angband and its billions of clones and inspired derivatives. Angband is famous for existing before graphics were able to be used, the character was represented by a @ symbol and the world around you were ASCII symbols that represented treasure, empty floor tiles, threats, treasure chests, and more.

Eventually roguelike has evolved to feature full graphic sets and many more features previously unseen for the genre. However, it wasn’t really until the release of Sword of the Stars: The Pit by developer Kerberos that roguelike truly reached perfection. The game is available today for $9.99 and The Pit: MindGames expansion is out today for $4.99 adding two new classes, the first playable alien character, and much more. Click HERE to check out the Steam listing for both.

Take a look at the trailer for the original title, and below that the new SCREENSHOTS for the MindGames Expansion:
