20 new PS4 games this week as PlayStation named #3 most relevant brand in UK

It’s no secret that PlayStation 4 is one of the most successful consoles ever to hit the video games market. With over 82 million units sold as of last month, the PS4 is predicted to surpass the PS3’s life time sales and could even approach the original PlayStation’s sales of 102.5 million units by the time its finished. Of course, the highest selling console of all time is still the PlayStation 2 with over 155 million units sold, which no home console has ever come near.

PlayStation VR has also made incredible strides becoming the highest selling VR headset currently on the market, reaching 3 million units sold as of last month alongside 22 million PSVR games being sold as the platform continues to lead with some of the most well produced Virtual Reality games in existence with no signs of stopping or letting down early adopters of this new technology.

Valve Announces 10 Newly Green-lit Steam Projects, Including Anodyne

Valve has announced today that their Greenlight platform through which the Steam community decides which games deserve a helping hand from Valve getting their games listed on Steam has approved 10 new projects.

If you remember when we told you about Anodyne’s donation promotion that was going on with Promo Bay, then you’ll be glad to know the project has been approved for Steam’s digital distribution store. The Greenlight program is just one of many reasons why we think Valve is a leader in the game industry and making decisions that further the game experience.

The games today green-lit are: Anodyne, Distance, Evoland, Huntsman: The Orphanage, Kingdom Rush, Legends of Dawn, Organ Trail: Director’s Cut, Receiver, Surgeon Simulator 2013, War Thunder. The following ‘software titles’ have also been announced with the Greenlight program and will be coming to Steam: Black Ink, Driver Fusion.

Indie Title Anodyne for Free or Donation of Your Choice on Promo Bay

The Promo Bay has put up a plea from developers of indie video game title Anodyne (Available on Linux, Mac, and Windows)  in which they offer the game for free or a donation of your choice. They simply ask that if you can spare $1 you can play the game. Immense word of mouth advertising on the radical side is taking place.

The pros reads:

“Hi, we’re Jon Kittaka and Sean Hogan

We’d like to make a living by making games that will give people memorable experiences, but we know not everyone can afford them. So that’s why you can download a torrent of our game, Anodyne, and if you’d like and are able, also purchase the game!

We’re also on Greenlight, trying to get onto Steam. So please consider giving us your vote!

-Sean and Jon”
