Fans have begun to demand a sequel to Battlefield 2142 the future-based, sci-fi shooter that brought on PC gamers love for a multiplayer experience that was, and still is to this day, unique. With the approach of Next Gen gaming thanks to the PlayStation 4, now is the perfect time for fans to speak up if they want EA to consider funding such a title. Medal of Honor has been canned as a series from EA’s publishing, in the following article DigitalBattle argues for such a game:
“Are the guys at DICE just messing with us? Or perhaps they’re just throwing out bits of nostalgia at the BF2142 fans. Who happen to be some of the most die hard Battlefield fans ever. 2142 was released just a year after the groundbreaking Battlefield 2, and quickly established a major fan base of its own.
They’ve already confirmed that Battlefield 4 will be set in modern day, which is good if you’re looking to sell a lot of copies and compete with Call Of Duty. But down the line, we’d really like to get back to the future with the Battlefield series. Hopefully 2143 is something they have on the drawing board. Battlefield 4 is currently in development and scheduled for release later this year on current and next-gen platforms. And the PC of course.”, read the rest by clicking here.
