**Update** Valkyria Chronicles Trilogy PS4 Remaster Rumor Gets Debunked

Valkyria Chronicles PS4

Update: DualShockers has confirmed that the following Rumor (left unedited below) is a fake (source).

Valkyria Chronicles is a gameplay experience that has to be felt in person to truly be appreciated. That being said the game can be described as a turn-based RPG but with aiming and shooting, and while that might not sound good in text format the game has gone on to become a major success and beloved cult classic. The originality, unique feel, fun factor, and re-playability of the RPG elements sprinkled on top is able to quickly addict players and keep them coming back for more. So it’s to nobody’s surprise that the entire internet is exploding with excitement over the fact that Valkyria Chronicles is going to be ported to the PlayStation 4.

There are two releases expected. One will take place during Summer 2014 and contains the original game remastered while the second release will have parts 2 and 3 remastered. In addition to balance adjustments being carried out on the final version players are looking forward to seeing later this year there will also be downloadable content included in this release which was put out previously for additional charge. The news comes from a Japan source so details are a bit dodgy at the moment but if you know how to speak Japanese then pick up a copy of Famitsu today!

Kingdom Hearts III / Final Fantasy XV Director Tetsuya Nomura Speaks On How His Career Came Together

Barret Wallace - Final Fantasy VII

Developer prestige Tetsuya Nomura spoke recently about the early days of his career and what they entailed. With memories reminisced to the Japan Magazine Famitsu Nomura speaks about what it was like working with the minds that created the Final Fantasy series. He also speaks who he believed inherited the franchise from whom in regards to the origins of some of the Final Fantasy titles.

Nomura spoke about being shown the basics by Hiroyuki Ito and being taught from the start to use new ideas when pitching gameplay features to the Final Fantasy series. Nomura’s work began as a debugger for Final Fantasy V which quickly led up to designs that ended up as the well-known characters Shadow and Setzer from Final Fantasy VI. After this Nomura has gone forward to do much work on the FF series, as mentioned above, and has gained prominence as a designer in many ways for this work.

“There were a lot of things, but for example, in the planning book for what kind of jobs I had in mind for Final Fantasy V, there were things like a ninja with a dog, a gambler who fought with dice and cards, and other illustrations. Everyone else used computers to type things out for their main plan books, but in order to have more impact, I wrote all the notes by hand and included plenty of drawings.

“I believe that having studied advertisement also worked out in a positive way. After a while, whenever it was time to turn in our plan books, Sakaguchi and Kitase would say ‘Where’s Tetsu’s plan book?’ as they started looking forward to it each time.”

“However, in the end, those ideas weren’t used for Final Fantasy V, but when we started on Final Fantasy VI, they were used for Shadow and Setzer. After that, it was a great experience for me, to have something I arranged go out there in the world. I believe that being in that position is what may have led my being appointed to Final Fantasy VII.”

Credited for involvement in many games including Character Design for beloved RPG hits Final Fantasy VI, Final Fantasy VII, Final Fantasy X, and many mothers. Nomura is also credited for the creation of Kingdom Hearts franchise. Specifically Director, concept design, main character designer, storyboard designer, and base story are noteworthy titles among Nomura’s work on the original title.

More recently, Tetsuya Nomura is directing the upcoming Kingdom Hearts III and Final Fantasy XV games for Square Enix which will arrive on PlayStation 4 and Xbox ONE upon completion – perhaps with a system-selling impact as seen with many past installments of these titles. Nomura is also involved with concept game design, character design, as well as base story among his responsibilities with Final Fantasy XV (pronounced: Final Fantasy Fifteen).
