Need for Speed’s Next Update Adds New Customzation Items, Music Tracks and More

NFS

EA and Ghost Games’ Need for Speed reboot is getting its second free update tomorrow and it will deliver a plethora of new content that’ll be sure to please fans of older NFS titles.

The ‘Legends’ update will see the return of Eddie (NFS: Underground, NFS: U2), who will provide players with a series of new racing events to overcome.

He’s put together a list of the hottest street racers in Ventura Bay and you’re on it! He isn’t alone though as he’ll be accompanied by Melissa. She’ll be in touch as you look to compete in a series of knock-out events to earn a shot at Eddie himself, with the goal of walking away with his tricked out Nissan Skyline GT-R V-Spec (1999).

Longtime Need for Speed fans will be pleased to learn that several of their favorite songs are also returning. Players will be able to listen to the likes of ‘The Baddest’ from Underground 2 and ‘Romulus 3 (NFS II), as they race through the streets of Ventura Bay.

The New Need for Speed’s City is “Twice the Size” of Rivals

Some new details have revealed for the world players will inhabit in EA’s upcoming Need for Speed game. that gives players an idea of just how big it is. The city of Ventura Bay is “roughly twice the size” of Need for Speed Rivals’s Redview County.

“From the tightly packed streets of downtown, where you seek out that perfect donut spot, to the sweeping valley roads where high speed and long drifts are the norm. Race through the industrial district with your crew in tow or seek the thrill of the chase within police hotspots.”

New Need for Speed Game Will Require an Internet Connection

need_for_speed_2015

While it will include a singleplayer component, the upcoming installment in the popular racing game franchise, will require an online connection in order to play.

This bit of unpopular news was revealed yesterday, in response to fan’s question on twitter. The game’s official account confirmed the requirement of an internet connection, claiming it will result in a “more rewarding experience ” when playing with friends, among other things.

The goal it seems, is to offer a more social experience within the players’ narratives by including their friends.

The account also went on to confirm the game will have dedicated servers, though that bit of information didn’t to make a difference for some fans.
