Kinda Funny Games Showcase 2018 – Full WrapUp & Videos

With the lack of a PSX Event this year, Kinda Funny Games (headed up by Greg Miller and Tim Gettys who previously led the IGN team) have decided to run their first ever video games showcase featuring  69 games (half a dozen of which will go live during the show). The concept behind this show is to give game companies a chance to show off titles to the masses. This is the first annual KF Games Showcase and we aren’t sure if this will become a yearly event, but it is exciting to see a new showcase on the scene which will give more developers a chance to get attention on their games.

Leaked: Dead Nation Getting New PlayStation 4 Version Called Apocalypse Edition

Dead Nation Apocalypse Edition

Dead Nation: Apocalypse Edition is a newly revamped version of the PS3 title Dead Nation by Housemarque (the devs behind Resogun) and will hit the Sony PS4 exclusively in March 2014 (if all goes according to plans) according to a recent leak which surfaced on an overseas PlayStation Blog. Sony Computer Entertainment Asia is said to have confirmed this blog posting as well which was apparently not scheduled to be announced to the world just yet, but went live ahead of time anyway. Gamers are likely to be hearing more development details and perhaps even a video glimpse into Dead Nation: Apocalypse Edition for PS4 soon – so stay ready!

Res0gun DLC Incoming According Housemarque; New PS4 Project Afterwards

Resogun DLC Incoming

In response to a fan who had recently asked the PlayStation exclusive developers behind Dead Nation, Super Stardust HD, and the PS4 title Res0gun, Housemarque has announced that they will be making a Res0gun downloadable content pack. The exact contents of the DLC has yet to be detailed, but there’s more. Housemarque also revealed for the first time that they will be making a new PlayStation 4 project soon. Of course, this was probably a no-brainer for most fans – and we don’t have any details yet. Nevertheless, some players will really want to know what’s going on with Housemarque lately, and now they have an answer.

Furmins VITA Review

2014-01-02-222902

Furmins is a puzzle game from developer Housemarque for the PlayStation Vita. The games puzzle are physics based and you the player has to help the Furmins reach the next level. The game is a mixture of Angry Birds and Cogs. There are power ups and platforms for you to use to complete each level including bumpers, gadgets, ropes, and others. Furmins has two modes; Setup Mode and Action Mode.

In Setup Mode you play through the levels as the developers intended and Action mode lets you make your own set ups in each level. The game works but that’s just it, it’s not very fun. The characters are cute but it doesn’t save the game from being lackluster. Furmins graphics and sound design are what you expect from a puzzle title, but it does nothing to make it stand out. The controls feel bulky and unresponsive even with the use of the touch screen. The game has a lot of levels but no multiplayer or leader-boards to compare your scores with other players. If you are looking for a game that will pass the time and nothing more Furmins is right for you.

Final Verdict:

Furmins is a puzzle game that had a cool premise but not much else. The lovable characters can’t save the poor controls or blandness of the gameplay. The game is playable at best but has nothing that puts it above the other great puzzle games on the market today. All in all Furmins gets a 5 out of 10 from RealGamerNewz and we recommend Housemarque take this one back to the drawing board so it can be on the quality level of their other titles.
