Remember Me and Life is Strange Dev Working on Action RPG “Vampyr”

Vampyr

A new action RPG was announced today by publisher Focus Home Interactive. The game titled Vampyr, is being developed by Remember Me and Life is Strange developer Dontnod Entertainment.

There isn’t a whole lot of information for this title so far but according to TheSixthAxis, it will take place after the end of the first World War. The game will put players in the role of a doctor who returns to his homeland, currently plagued by the Spanish Flu. While treating one of his infected patients, the good doctor is bitten and transforms into a Vampire.

The doctor will find himself in a bit of a moral conundrum; should he come to the aid of those in need, or give into his vampire side and feed.  It seems the Y in the title pertains to the choices players will be presented within the game. Much like their upcoming Life is Strange title, the choices won’t be so Black and White (Or Black and Red).

No release date or platforms has been announced yet, as the game is still pretty early on in the development stage. Stay tuned.

Square Enix Announces Life is Strange

LifeisS

Getting annoyed with Square Enix and their announcements of video game sequels and remasters? Want something “new” to play? Well the Publisher has revealed a brand new ip called ‘Life is Strange’

The game stars Max Caulfield, a young woman who returns to her hometown of Arcadia, Oregon after five years only to discover that a former classmate had mysteriously vanished. Max sets out to uncover the mystery behind Rachel Amber’s disappearance, reunites with an old friend named Chloe and comes to a strange realization: She can reverse time.

Developed by DONTNOD Entertainment, the team behind ‘Remember Me’, Life is Strange will be released as episodic content and the story will evolve based on the choices the player makes. Every action taken will create a butterfly effect but thanks to Max’s new found ability to reverse time and change what happens, the game asks an interesting question: “what would you change? And would it turn out to be a change for the better or worse?”
