Here is Every Map and Mode in Battlefield Hardline

Battlefield-Hardline-1

Visceral Games’ upcoming Battlefield title is set to release in a couple months. EA has released more info on the game’s multiplayer component. Battlefield Hardline will launch with 7 game modes and 9 maps. Below you’ll find the list of maps and modes, along with their descriptions. Sorry no Rush mode in this version.

Modes:

Conquest

BFH

A Battlefield staple, Conquest is based on the idea of controlling a base. Capture a base by standing near a flag on foot, in a vehicle or in the skies – if your team owns more flags than the enemy you’ll slowly reduce their tickets, which are their ability to respawn. The first team to run out of tickets loses.

Team Deathmatch

TDM

Team Deathmatch is infantry only and has the easiest objective to understand: shoot the enemy team more than they shoot you.

Heist

Heist

Heist is all about pulling off that big job or that perfect score. The criminals are trying to infiltrate a cash-filled vault, and the cops must regulate them. Once the criminals break in, they have to nab two bags of cash and jam out with them back to each of the two base points.

Blood Money

BloodMoney

A huge pile of loot has been intercepted in transit. The criminals are fighting to steal the money, while the cops are trying to secure it as evidence. Each team is trying to secure the money in their team’s vault – but it’s not safe there. Raid the enemy team’s vault to help your team score the most money.

Hotwire

Hotwire

The criminals are trying to steal a list of marked cars while the cops are trying to repossess them. Use your driving skills to catch up with the enemy, and bring a friend riding shotgun to take them down.

Rescue

Rescue

Rescue is one of two competitive modes. This is a cop-centric mode that lets you step into the boots of a SWAT operative tasked with saving innocent lives from the hands of criminals. Lead your team carefully into dangerous environments and get the hostages back to safety. Be careful though, because there are no second chances in this mode.

Crosshair

Crosshair

This is the second competitive mode. In Crosshair, a former criminal turned state’s witness is on the run from his former crew. The criminals are trying to erase the VIP’s face from the world, while the cops are trying to get him out safely. Once again, there are no second chances – one death and you are out for the match.

Maps:

Downtown

Downtown

The heart of downtown Los Angeles is a jumping environment – the streets, the buildings, the cars – are all open to criminal deeds. The police have shut down the city center, and a heated confrontation is about to break out.

Bank Job

BankJob

Money is the root of all evil. The criminals are plotting a ruthless assault on a high-security bank vault. But, they messed up and triggered a silent alarm and the police are jamming to the scene of the crime.

The Block

Block

What looks like a liquor store and bail bonds office, is actually a front. This is home to a notorious criminal ring. The police know better than to enter The Block without backup.

Dust Bowl

Dust

The small desert town of Joad is off the beaten path and well-known for meth trafficking problems. The cops have had enough and are on the scene to shut it all down.

Hollywood Heights

HH

A mansion high in the Hollywood Hills looks ripe for a little crime. The criminals have started a wildfire in the nearby hills to distract the police. Do you think that’ll work?

Growhouse

Grow

The cops located an illegal underground marijuana grow operation. The cops are raiding the place, but the criminals aren’t going down without a fight. After all, this is precious cargo for them.

Derailed

Derailed

The industrial side of Los Angeles is home to many shady dealings. A criminal ring has set up shop in the warehouses and scrapyards, where they’re trying to make that money from illegal doings.

Riptide

Riptide

A drug smuggler’s haven, this high-tech and expensive island crib is being ransacked by the police. A chain of small islands is connected by bridges and waterways, providing multiple access to it.

Everglades

Glades

Battlefield Hardline will launch on March 17, 2015 for PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC.

Evolve DLC Prices Getting Criticized by Gamers, Is It Too Much?

Evolve DLC RealGamerNewz

If you pre-order and play in the Beta right now, your progress will transfer over – you will get that skin – and you will get that monster. This is definitely an appreciated advantage to what Turtle Rock Studios is providing with Evolve. However, recently they have been drawn to scrutiny about their DLC pricing per monster and hunter.

The Hunting Season Pass comes for $24.99 and includes 3 monster skins as well as 4 hunter characters. Players can opt to not pay for it and they will still end up fighting against the more advanced monsters, and alongside the more advanced hunters or they can pick and choose Individual DLC which are priced at $14.99 per monster or $7.49 per hunter. The pre-order monster will be sold as well for $14.99 if you didn’t get the chance to do so.

On the flip side of things, new maps are free and it appears that hunters and monsters purchased as DLC will appear in matchmaking with players who don’t pick up the DLC as well, thus preventing the splinter of Evolve’s community. This is being looked at by many as acceptable, while getting criticized by others. Some say it is similar to Destiny and has an MMO type of feel to the way it’s designed.

Is this too much?

Please leave your thoughts below in RGN’s comment section for Turtle Rock Studios to see.

New Titanfall Maps Titled “Expedition” Announced for May Along With New Modes

Titanfall Expedition DLC - RealGamerNewz

Respawn Entertainment has announced a new map pack for their hit game Titanfall. The map pack entitled “Expedition” drops some time next month according to the announcement made at PAX East yesterday.

The new maps will enable use to wall run off trees, use vines as zip lines and the team is supposedly looking into Titan customization as well. Along with the new maps new modes will also debut as well such as 2v2 Last Titan Standing matches, along with new Burn Cards, and Titan abilities. Another feature talked about was the ability to use hashtags in game to find other players. How this will work remains to be seen but it sounds interesting.

Are you all still playing Titanfall or are you burned out on it? How many of you want to see customization for Titans? How do you feel about the announcement of the new maps and modes? Let us know in the comments below.

What’s Up With These Maps? Call of Duty: Ghosts Multiplayer Maps Proving Unpopular Online

call of duty ghosts maps

Despite various improvements being made to the overall performance of the Call of Duty multiplayer segment seen this year’s Ghosts (developed by Raven Software for Activision) and especially the reduction in controller latency thanks to next-generation consoles PlayStation 4 and Xbox ONE, gamers are complaining about the game.

One issue that seems to be coming up during online matches, party chats, and podcast discussions among casual COD players, first person shooter veterans, and seasoned clans who’ve mastered the formula of the franchise, is the maps. “What’s up with these maps anyways?”, “I really hate the maps”, and “these maps suck” have become common catch phrases echoed across the gaming community ever since the day COD: Ghosts first released.

Excluding Free Fall which seems to have dropped off the map since next-gen started, most maps consist of a somewhat larger version of the same style areas we are used to. Unfortunately gamers have also been witnessing way less choke points and cover, way more ground to walk before you find action, and an illogical amount of hideaway passages, sniper sweet spots, and completely open objectives mixing together in a less than pleasing way. Raven Software have been making first person shooter games since the 90’s and are responsible for some of our favorite FPS titles here at the RGN staff, but Ghosts is just barely tolerable in terms of its fun factor being very low at times due to poor map design.

Call-of-Duty-Ghosts-featured

No matter how large or small the team you are facing is, it has become extremely common to see way too many areas where you can get shot from arising. In contrast to the old Call of Duty maps we’ve seen in previous titles, where there weren’t enough angles to get at a shooter from (causing them to dominate just by keeping their eye on 2 or 3 choke points), now we’ve been delivered a game with so many open-ended parts of each map that a bobble-head couldn’t keep track of them all.

Express your feelings on the maps below and look out for the second part of this piece where I’ll discuss some other recently released multiplayer games that I have a bone or two to pick with…

Call of Duty: Ghosts Multiplayer Modes and Maps Info Leaked!

COD Ghosts Multiplayer

It seems an Instagram user who got his/her copy of Call of Duty: Ghosts early leaked some juicy details online through video clips and pictures. Here’s the rundown on the maps and game modes.

Maps:

  • Chasm
  • Flooded
  • Free Fall (Pre-order Bonus)
  • Freight
  • Octane
  • Overload
  • Prison Break
  • Siege
  • Sovereign
  • Stonehaven
  • Strikezone
  • Stormfront
  • Tremor
  • Warhawk
  • Whiteout

Modes:

  • Blitz – Enter the enemy team’s objective zone to secure points for your team.
  • Cranked – Kills give you extra perks, 2x scoring, and a time limit. Chain kills to stay alive!
  • Domination – Capture and hold the designated positions to gain points.
  • Free-for-all – Kill everyone. First player to reach the score limit ends the game, the top 3 players win.
  • Grind – Recover dog tags and take them to the objective marker to score for your team.
  • Hunted (Can be played with teams or in Free-for-all) – Resources are limited. Fight for control of weapon drops to gain superiority.
  • Infected – Eliminated Survivors become Infected. Infect everyone, or survive the game to win.
  • Kill Confirmed – Recover dog tags to score for your team and deny enemy scores.
  • Search and Destroy – Teams take turns defending and destroying an objective.
  • Search and Rescue – Teams take turns defending and destroying an objective. Recover dog tags to allow or deny respawns.
  • Team Deathmatch – Kill players on the opposing team. The first team to reach the score limit wins!

It seems Blitz has replaced Capture the Flag, which makes sense as it is new take on the old school mode. Hunted sounds very interesting and I look forward to playing it. Infected will no doubt be one the more popular of the new modes. What do you guys think? Sound off in the comments below or on twitter.

Shout out to Digital Warfare 247 for spotting this info.

Battlefield 4 Preview

battlefield-4

Title: Battlefield 4 / Developer: DICE / Publisher: EA Games

Story:

Battlefield 4 is brought to us by DICE, the people in charge of making Battlefield what it is today. Battlefield 4 is running Frostbite Engine 3.0 and coming to current and next-gen consoles as well as Windows PC via EA’s Origin platform. Since 2002 the Battlefield series has been changing the way that gamers look at the battlefield by changing up the gameplay and revolutionizing the genre. In Battlefield 4 the user will be playing as Sergeant Daniel Recker who is a member of Tombstone Squad, an elite group of soldiers.

The main conflict taking place in BF4 revolves around the country of China where protestors often meet a brutal response from their communist government and the CIA has infiltrated the Shanghai Opium Gang that is said to run the government there, or in the game known as Admiral Chang’s regime. Admiral Chang has cancelled any form of democratic / republic goings-on in the region of China in and replaced it with complete martial law. Things really amp up when your team hits Singapore to find a scene of destruction as China has destroyed the USS Titan and smoked everybody in its crew. What ensues next can be described as the greatest military struggle of all time between the world’s two largest superpowers.

Detailed Features Breakdown:

Battlefield 4 has a slew of features heading its way; some old and some are brand new to the franchise. Levolution is going to be one of the biggest game changing experiences in Battelfield 4. These can be very small things like lowering gates to fortify your position in a building, shooting parts of buildings down to use them to your advantage in battle, as well as car alarms and metal detectors which can throw off a sneaky attack from being commenced on you. The environment can now be used to gain a tactical advantage either by disorientating your opponents with items in the map or even stuff like shooting the lights out to gain an advantage in the dark over them. One of the next features of this is the ambient change in the maps which can alter how the map looks from bringing a sunny island to a tropical storm as the match continues really changing up the way combat is handled in that match.

The last part of Levolution is that the player can trigger massive events that can shift the battle. Some of these large events that have been shown are the skyscraper in Shanghai being blown up, flooding maps and then using boats to battle on the map, and even a massive destroyer crashing into land. Commander Mode is returning to the battlefield once again bringing the ability for a player to help out their squad move the tide of a match by using war assets to aid in battle. Players can join as a commander once they have leveled to rank 10 and this is first come first serve, if your commander’s tactics aren’t holding up very well your squad can vote for mutiny and commanders can lose their position for a new one to be assigned.

bf4 preview realgamernewz

Spectator Mode is also returning to Battlefield 4 with all new ways to interact with the game from four viewing angles: third person, first person, tabletop, and free-cam view (which can all be switched on the fly). Spectator mode will be great for competitive gaming coming into play more and great for movie making as well. Battlelog has been completely overhauled with a slew of whole new features such as being able to use any tablet or mobile phone to use as an in-game mini-map, switch loadouts, and also mark points in-game that are shown real-time.

Customization is a huge part of the Battlefield experience and is even greater in Battlefield 4 with more options than ever before for all the weapons and accessories out there. For just one weapon there is over 240,000 variations that can be constructed with everything from optics, camo, and more. New types of scopes are being added to the game including the 40x scope for sniping extreme long distances and the ability to zero your rifle so that the user can get that perfect shot. There is also a huge amount of camouflage to choose from including Desert, Autumn, Naval, Urban, Woodland, and Snow, each of these also come in 16 different patterns. A new addition to the camo is a new type of camo called adaptive camo and this will blend the player into the surroundings so that they can blend better with each environment. Battlepacks are new content that can be earned and use in-game. The battlepacks will contain everything from accessories for the user’s weapons to XP boosts, they will be awarded through the progression of multiplayer and come in three flavors; bronze, silver, and gold with some also containing rare items in them as well.

Maps / Gameplay Modes:

Battlefield 4 will ship with 10 maps and they are Siege of Shanghai, Paracel Storm, Zavod 311, Lancang Dam, Flood Zone, Rogue Transmission, Hainan Resort, Dawnbreaker, Operation Locker, and Golmud Railway. These are the launch maps and more of them will be launching with Battlefield Premium down the road. The following are the game types for Battlefield 4: Conquest which is all out warfare with a mixture of infantry and vehicle warfare, Domination which is a faster paced version of Conquest that is infantry only, Obliteration which is a mad dash on foot and vehicles to deliver explosives, Defuse which is competitive close quarters combat, Team Deathmatch which is a classic shooter mode done with a Battlefield 4 style, Rush which is fighting into enemy territory by detonating their M-COM stations, and Squad Deathmatch which consists of four squads fighting on the ground with a limited number of vehicles and is essentially a race to see who is the best on the scoreboard.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 2: Apocalypse DLC Pack PlayStation 3 Release Date Announced

Black Ops II Apocalypse

Apocalpyse DLC has finally got a PlayStation 3 and Windows PC release date announced. As you all know, Call of Duty DLC always comes out first on Xbox and then makes its way to the PS3. This may seem like even longer of a wait than it actually is due to early leaking and promotional campaigns for the Xbox version before it even drops. By the time it drops on PS3 we’ve been hearing about it for a long time. This DLC will be free for those who own a Season Pass for Black Ops II and $14.99 for those who don’t and it will release on September 26, 2013. The four new maps included are called Pod, Frost, Takeoff, and Dig and there’s also a new Zombies map called Origins.

Every Call of Duty Ghosts Multiplayer Gameplay Video + Detail In ONE Place

COD Ghosts Xbox ONE Preview RealGamerNewz Presents

Many people have kept on asking over and over again, “When are they going to change Call of Duty?” and while these changes may not be embraced by all universally, they are truly here. With Black Ops I and Black Ops II beginning to pave the way for a more balanced and polished experience, Infinity Ward has stepped up to deliver a completely refreshed, rebooted experience with Call of Duty: Ghosts. And we weren’t always fans of this game, don’t believe me? Just watch this video about how we called out MW3 when the rest of the media was saying it would change, and we were right, it never changed anything.

Call of Duty: Ghosts for Xbox ONE (and various other platforms) was revealed today in the multiplayer gameplay perspective. While many details and videos have been revealed for this title, which will see its DLC released first on Xbox ONE, you can find them all right here in one place. CLICK HERE if you haven’t made it to the Livestream yet which is exclusive on RealGamerNewz.com and scroll to the bottom for the Gameplay Videos that were revealed by Activision immediately after the stream concluded (all in one video).

  • Xbox 360 gameplay profiles will cross over to Xbox ONE. If you grab the game early on current-gen and/or are unable to get the next-gen console, you’ll be able to build your profile while waiting! This includes unlockables, classes, and more.
  • Ghosts introduces 30 new weapons including a new weapons class: Marksman rifles for those of us not exactly amazing at the sniper rifle but a decent enough aim to go beyond the assault rifle.
  • Balancing issues are solved by giving a budget for all of your items, similar to Black Ops II. No more infinitely unbalanced load-outs like Modern Warfare 1, 2, and 3 had. This is a more advanced system than BLOPS 2 though, each perk has weighted value and will take up a different amount of your budget.
  • New Perks Including: Juggernaut Maniac, Helio Scout, Vulture, Odin Strike, Riley the Guard Dog.
  • Jump roof to roof, mantle over objects, knee slide while sprinting, or crouching to prone, contextual leaning, are some of the new gameplay features that make movement more smooth.
  • ADSR-based Reverb System, Detailed Battle Chatter so you know exactly what’s going on even if the player doesn’t have a mic on, and Tactical Audio Design including Reactive Emitters.
  • Unlock the game’s many weapons and perks in any order you want.
  • Call of Duty: Ghosts introduces Cranked; a variant of TDM that grants faster movement, reload, and more for each kill you get within a timer (or risk exploding).
  • Search and Rescue which is like Search and Destroy but allows you to be revived or eliminated based on whether an enemy or ally grabs your dog tags.
  • Squads Game Mode sees you competing against other players’ squads which you have built. Put each of your ‘living loadouts’ to the test. This can be done co-op, single player, or multiplayer. Progress counts towards Multiplayer.
  • More of the other 7 new gameplay modes include: Octane, Infected, and more.
  • 20 new Killstreaks. More ground-based, in your face Killstreaks and less air-based, unbalanced ones. No More Deathstreaks, Objectives and Kills ONLY will be rewarded.
  • Hide your UAV, because now it’s ground-based and enemies can wipe it out if they find it. No more nearly unstoppable radar pings.
  • New Wave-Based 4 Player Co-Op Mode: “Safeguard” based on “Survival” from MW3.
  • Other Co-Op Modes: “Squads” including “Squad Vs Squad”, “Wargame”, “Squad Assault”.
  • Character customization includes over 20,000 possible combinations and for the first time ever Female Soldiers are in the game! I know a lot of woman gamers who will be excited for this.
  • Dynamic map changes beyond what is seen in currently “destructible” environment games were revealed. Examples include entire gas stations exploding.
  • Prestige no longer resets all of your weapons, the entire system has been overhauled. You now have 10 characters in a “squad” and will be able to reach 10 levels of prestige by ‘prestiging’ each one once.
  • Call of Duty ELITE Accounts on Tablet, Mobile, Web, consoles, and more. Mobile App allows deeper clan experience, and mobile meta-gameplay “Clan Wars” game.
  • Local Multiplayer is still supported.
  • Robust Clan Support including Clan Chat, Rally Up, all from mobile, console, or web.
  • Touch-based Emblem Editor for Clans.
  • Level up your clan in more ways than one. Any MP match you play with your clan levels up your Clan.
  • There are now Clan VS Clan playlists.
  • Each time your clan levels up there’s new unlockables.
  • Each time you get the first kill in a match, and retrieve the ‘Field Order’ briefcase from the person you killed, you’ll get a side-objective such as humiliating your opponents. If you can achieve it without dying you’ll be rewarded with a care package capable of giving you the edge, if you don’t pull it off somebody else can get the Field Order from your dead body and try to.
  • 60 Frames Per Second Graphics are still in the house on current gen systems.
  • Dual Render technology allows you to aim down the sights but still have peripheral vision to some extent.
  • Riley the guard dog will be in Multiplayer, not just single player. This companion character allows you to scout out and even attack other players remotely. He will also alert you of nearby enemies when you have him near you. (This is a Perk, not just all over the place for anyone at any time).

Battlefield 4 Story Details, Location, Frame Rate, Resolution, and Player Count Revealed

It was revealed today that the upcoming first person shooter Battlefield 4, which will be releasing for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox 720, will have up to 64 players on PC and next generation consoles while still hosting the same nerfed amount PS3 and 360 is used to.

Hopefully the maps will be optimized for the smaller player count on those current gen titles so that we don’t experience the same problem of too much ground to cover for too few players like in Bad Company 2 on PS3 and 360. Battlefield 4 will also have 720p graphics at 60 frames per second on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox 720. The location where Battlefield 4 will take place has also been revealed to be China and the story will take place in the year 2020. More details will be revealed by EA and DICE soon about BF4 on March 27th.

Battlefield 2143 Being Demanded by Fans After ‘2143 Easter Egg’ Spotted in BF3 Map Pack

Fans have begun to demand a sequel to Battlefield 2142 the future-based, sci-fi shooter that brought on PC gamers love for a multiplayer experience that was, and still is to this day, unique. With the approach of Next Gen gaming thanks to the PlayStation 4, now is the perfect time for fans to speak up if they want EA to consider funding such a title. Medal of Honor has been canned as a series from EA’s publishing, in the following article DigitalBattle argues for such a game:

Are the guys at DICE just messing with us? Or perhaps they’re just throwing out bits of nostalgia at the BF2142 fans. Who happen to be some of the most die hard Battlefield fans ever. 2142 was released just a year after the groundbreaking Battlefield 2, and quickly established a major fan base of its own.

They’ve already confirmed that Battlefield 4 will be set in modern day, which is good if you’re looking to sell a lot of copies and compete with Call Of Duty. But down the line, we’d really like to get back to the future with the Battlefield series. Hopefully 2143 is something they have on the drawing board. Battlefield 4 is currently in development and scheduled for release later this year on current and next-gen platforms. And the PC of course.”, read the rest by clicking here.

Tristans Twisted World: Halo 4 Majestic Map Pack First Impressions

Halo 4 Majestic Map Achievements

The maps are small and have a very Halo 2 and Halo 3 feel to it which is very good.

The first map I played was Landfall Infinity Slayer which Landfall felt like Longshore from Halo 3 mythic map pack it had a very straightforward approach to the map which made the map easy to find people but with different levels.

The second map was Monolith which had a very Halo 4 feel in terms of how it looked but had a new feel which I think its the best map in the entire pack I played some king of the hill the grav lifts had me and others jetpacking off them trying to get to hills it was a blast!!

The final map was Skyline which felts like a few Halo 2 maps since it was like a city. I played the new gametype Infinity Rumble on it which was quite fun and the map had about 4 different levels so it made it fun to drop on people and kill them.

The map is better than Crimson and is about a top 5 Halo map pack off all time gives everything you could ask for new modes, new maps, new fun.
