Techland has now brought a new patch to the Dying Light (our review here) introducing Hard Mode. This new level of difficulty has been added totally free and is meant for the extremely hardcore survivors who want the best experience out of the game with an enabled night gameplay that is twice the length and double the difficulty seen originally. Intensity is at an all time high. Other things included in the free content update made available through a patch on Steam, PS4, and Xbox ONE including new outfits across the game world some are national and some are reward outfits.
If you’re a user looking to try out some new weapons, well, you’re in luck because the development team has added a bunch of new weapons such as the Rune Hammer and the Bone Splitter. Techland has also added a new weapon level which is set at Gold which is now the highest level of rarity. Fortress Craft Evolved was released on Steam’s Early Access over a month ago, since that day, gamers have been begging ProjectorGames for a Survival Mode. ProjectorGames have finally answered that question, with a yes.
“A survival mode was always in the plans, but the players asked for it so frequently and adamantly that we bumped it up on the schedule so we can give them what they want now.” says Sawkins.
In this new survival mode, players will have to gather resources and build machines to stay alive and keep hypothermia from setting in. This new mode still has the “creative spirit” that the rest of the game does, but not players will have to survive. Keep in mind that survival mode is not completely developed, ProjectorGames wants to implement some more mechanics and also invading robots as they have promised. Environmental hazards such as heat, cold, toxic air and more require the use of the state-of-the-art suit you are wearing to stay alive, too bad your suit uses a lot of battery power sustaining life support! Here is what you’ll need to do to survive: During the day, your suit is designed to absorb sunlight and power the battery.
Press ‘=’ to enter the Block Manager and check the box for ‘Machinery’ to see what you can make. You have one Central Power HUB block in your inventory, use it to turn harvested resources into power to charge adjacent machinery. Build Torches to heat your suit during the night time.
Dig deep for rare resources such as Gold, Lithium and Iron.
Pay close attention to the battery discharge rate on your suit, a Blue Bar indicates that extreme cold is affecting your suit whereas a Red Bar indicates extreme heat. When the bar is Green your suit is not currently being drained to maintain a livable temperature. Use of the Jetpack and the Headlamp items cause faster depletion of your battery. Watch out for mechanical spiders!

The special executions in The Last of Us can be a real pain at times, but they are also just as satisfying as pouring salt into an opponent’s wounds when you can get away with them. In the 1.03 update coming soon to The Last of Us on Sony PlayStation 3 for free players will take advantage of these executions in a completely new way though. The new gameplay feature in multiplayer mode ‘Interrogation’ will challenge players with getting information out of players they down leading to the full disclosure of where the enemy’s hideout is at. If you play with my squad you’re going to have a hard time keeping your mouth shut when we get our boots on your necks, we play for keeps.
Other features of the 1.03 update will likely be a lot less popular than the addition of a new game mode though, but let’s keep the criticism civil folks. Items will be moved around, damage values will likely be tweaked, and players will now be able to stop you from performing the up close and personal executions.
You can still shoot a guy when he’s down though to finish him off, which for me just makes more sense tactically. It’s also said there will be less items in the multiplayer online matches as they will respawn less. These changes are all meant to balance the game which may or may not happen. I, for one, hope that these changes weren’t designed by exploit artists who often beg developers using forums under the guise of suffering players in order to exploit the game on a higher level once the devs cave to their demands. Time will tell how the update really effects the game, for me it was perfect when it came out so I’m cautious about accepting these changes personally.

Gearbox Software has let the world know that coming the beginning of this April Borderlands 2 gamers will be able to take their levels up to 61 instead of the current restriction keeping them at a level 50 maximum for all characters. This comes free for Season Pass members of the title while the other players of the game will be able to grab an add-on for $4.99 that offers a number of enhancements for the title including Ultimate Vault Hunter Mode, and new weapons (of new Pearlescent tier).
You will also be able to pick up a new class May 4, 2013 for Borderlands 2 titled Vault Hunter, Krieg the Psycho which will be the 5th playable class in the game, but it will not be included for free even if you have the Season Pass. Max Payne is a franchise name that jumpstarts the fondest of fond memories for Action / Shooter gameplay fans who were lucky enough to have experienced this primarily PC and PlayStation 2 gem. Considered to hold the potential to live up to the classic by many, the third installment of Max Payne is headed to release May 15, 2012.
It is also potential, however, that Rockstar Games has decided to announce waves of Downloadable Content for the game (some of which is of course, paid DLC) before the game even releases.
Until the fans of gaming giants like Rockstar games react to announcements like this they will continue to be considered acceptable. Right now the community seems to be divided on this issue with many gamers turning a blind eye and apathetic shrug of the shoulders to the whole situation while others are up in arms about it.
