Batman

Original Story as follows:

It appears as though Rocksteady’s final entry in the Arkham trilogy will receive not one, but two tie novels. Amazon has listed Batman: Arkham Knight – The Riddler’s Gambit for a June 2, 2015 release, alongside the highly anticipated video game. The official novelization will release a little over a month later, on July 7, 2015.

Official

Both novels will be published by Titan Books, with the official novelization being written by Marv Wolfman. Wolfman is an American comic book writer who is best known for his lengthy runs on Marvel Comics The Tomb of Dracula and is the co-creator of the popular vampire-slayer Blade, along with artist Gene Colan. He is also known for DC Comics’ The New Teen Titans and for working on the Crisis on Infinite Earths event with George Pérez.

No plot details are available at this time, though it is probably safe to assume the ‘Riddler’s Gambit’ will focus on the caped crusader attempting to stop the Riddler’s evil schemes and act as a prequel of sorts. The second novel will most likely follow the main plot of the game. We will reach out to the publisher for comment and will update you if we learn anything new. So stay tuned.

You can pre-order the novels for less than $8 each.

[Update] Dying Light: Nightmare Row Announced

DL2

Zombie fans who are looking forward to Techland’s Dying Light but also like to get their read on, are in for a treat. The novel Dying Light: Nightmare Row has been revealed by the game’s official twitter account. It is being written by Raymond Benson, the author best known for his run as the official author of the adult James Bond novels from 1997 to 2003.

Update:

An official press release offers up some info on the game’s plot.

Dying Light: Nightmare Row tells the terrifying story of Mel Wyatt, an 18-year-old American athlete who participated in the Harran 2015 Global Athletic Games two weeks earlier. As one of many Americans stranded in Harran as a result of the outbreak, Mel has been surviving with her little brother, Paul, in an isolated hotel – their parents were killed on the first day of the Infected attacks on the stadium. Thus begins a tense and ticking time bomb thriller of survival.

The author gave a statement on his time writing Nightmare Row:

“Writing the origin story for DYING LIGHT was an exciting adventure for me,” says Benson. “I’d always wanted to try my hand at a zombie-genre tale and this gave me the perfect opportunity. The folks at Techland created a rich and intriguingly bleak setting for the game, so that gave me a wonderful and creepy world in which to play around.  All fans of zombie fiction, gamers and readers alike, are in for a real treat.”

Stay tuned to RGN for more info on the novel including pricing
