Video Game Deals Ongoing Right Now [US] (Week of 1/7/2018)

Some are worried recently about Microsoft’s light lineup forecast for the year, with confusion around the lackluster launch of the Xbox One X. New Rumors have led to a persistent belief that Microsoft is currently shopping around IP to invest in to fix that problem. The company is searching for the right partner to create the next Xbox exclusive games through exclusivity contracts which have not been used much this console generation but were a major theme of the PlayStation 3 vs Xbox 360 console wars.

Currently there’s more than a handful of deals going on in the United States video games market. This announcement comes at the heals of overwhelming demand paired with success in the PS4 brand. Pressure had recently been applied to the pricing structure as retailers had leaked the price cuts ahead of this announcement. Microsoft is expected to announce some form of price cut as well, and one thing that would be great to see is an option for a bigger stock hard drive in one of these Limited Edition consoles, 2 Terabytes or larger would be great.
