The NBA Legend Shaquille O’Neal has always been known for his willingness to explore entrepreneurial opportunities outside of his athletic career. Some of these pursuits have included creating his own brand of hip hop as well as his role in the creation of a very infamous video game called Shaq Fu.
Rumors had begun to circulate after the title of a sequel was trademarked by the basketball individual who later made his full intentions known in this CES 2014 GamerFitNation Interview. Now, many gamers can’t even take this seriously as an announcement – and at this time the official word goes back and forth other than the interview formerly cited.
Even more evidence has emerged now though, as Joystiq discovered the following merchandise is allegedly being produced in preparation for a re-launch of the Shaq Fu IP. Comments on the sites where these stories are breaking are filled to the brim with condescending and sarcastic ridicule of the original title and in some cases the NBA star and his perceived ability (or lack thereof) to get the project into the right development “hands”.
We’re personally always interested in the strategy of waiting it out and seeing for yourself but feel free to let us know if this is a game you’d be interested in or not below.
