The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Goes Gold + Everything We Know Inside This Article

The Witcher 3 Gone Gold

CD Projekt RED have announced that The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is ready to be pressed onto the Blu-Ray discs that will bring much joy to the crowds of gamers heavily anticipating its release and likely uploaded to Steam / GOG as well for the many PC Gamers equally excited for the upcoming AAA Action RPG title.

The developer has stated numerous times that they believe the game will graphically please players no matter which platform they choose to play on and obviously gamers are expecting it to shine the most on the Windows PC assuming you have the parts in your machine to make that possible. May 19, 2015 The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will release for PS4, Xbox ONE, and Windows PC with tons of open world features that could rival any game in the genre. If you missed it, check out the Dev Overview Video w/ Gameplay.

“-we literally spent tens of thousands of hours to turn all that into an adventure that will kick your ass and make you want to come for more.” – Direct Quote from CD Projekt RED’s Adam Badowski

Now that the title is gold the development of two newly announced expansion packs will continue forward. In Hearts of Stone there will be over 10 hours of No Man’s Land and Oxenfurt gameplay surrounding some sort of mysterious contract with Geralt as the main player and deception as a key theme.

The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt - Collector Edition

Blood and Wine is over 20 hours and instead introduces Geralt to an entire region called Toussaint where, again, secrecy is an occurring theme that will eventually be unfolded over the course of the expansion content.

It’s currently unknown what exactly will come of these expansions but CD Projekt RED feels our pain as to DLC not always living up to expectations and urges players to hold back if they have doubts. They even explicitly state there is no need to buy them now, but the options is there, and mark their intentions to draw from the earlier time of PC Gaming days when expansions really meant something substantial and were worth the dollar amount since they really added to the games.

Excerpt from the Official Press Release:

Hearts of Stone will premiere in October, while Blood and Wine is slated for release in the first quarter of 2016.

Both expansions will be available on all three platforms: Xbox One, PC, PlayStation 4.”

Editor’s Note: There will also be 16 Free DLCs for the game included for everyone.

The Witcher 3 Xbox ONE UK Bundle

In addition to all of this news revolving around The Witcher 3 we also now know that there will be Xbox ONE consoles being sold with The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt included. This appears to be a Europe, Middle East, and Africa only thing for the time being and is being released on May 19, 2015 in the UK for £310 British Pounds (we thought they use Euros over there? So much for the New World Order 🙂 ). The price and release date for other countries has not yet been revealed. There will be a standard controller, HDMI cable, and power cord, with a standard black Xbox ONE console in the bundle and the game itself is going to be a digital voucher for download over Xbox LIVE as most bundles these days are.

Crypt of the NecroDancer Gets Final Release Date + New Trailer

Crypt of the NecroDancer

Get down, get down. Welcome to a new experience. Music and mayhem combine as players move to the rhythm with their own MP3s or a crazy soundtrack while fighting back against an onslaught of evil things, grabbing weapons, buying items at shops, and other RPG-like behavios. The Crypt of the NecroDancer is a fully developed indie game hitting Windows PC, Mac OS X, and Linux on April 23, 2015 via Steam. SteamOS support is also included and if you just can’t wait then Early Access is available for purchase now.

A keyboard, controller, or USB dance pad are all acceptable accessories that can be used to play this game. Dungeons change every time you play and some of the enemies include skeletons, dragons, and zombies, but that’s not all of them by a long shot. Serving up retro graphics with a new gameplay spin that infuses music into every step, Crypt of the NecroDancer aims to stand out in the crowd of “Rogue-like” games on Steam by offering more soul to its RPG flavor inspired by other Music games along the road.

What else is new in the final release versus Early Access build? Check out below in this Excerpt from the Official Press Release:

  • The final zone (zone 4) has been added, with a whole host of new enemies, traps, secrets, and minibosses
  • Unique final boss battles for the main characters: Cadence, Melody, and Aria
  • Story cinematics for Cadence, Melody, and Aria, after completing each zone
  • One additional insanely difficult character: Coda
  • 10+ more achievements
  • A new “technique trainer” lobby NPC who helps teach the game’s higher-level techniques
  • Some musical surprises we can’t yet reveal!
  • And, of course, a bunch of polish, balance tweaks, and bug fixes

Space Colony: Steam Edition Announced w/ Steam Workshop Support + Trailer [HD 1080P]

Space Colony Steam Edition Q2 2015 RealGamerNewZ

With the revival of the Real Time Strategy genre in full swing thanks to titles like Homeworld Remastered and Grey Goo, a new challenger enters the ring (err… also known as the huge worldwide marketplace of Steam). Space Colony is a game that’s already been receiving praise from the press (because we all know how reliable they are right?) and is now making itself known to the world of dedicated Steam gamers out there. Firefly Studios contacted RealGamerNewz today to show us this trailer and let us know that there will be Steam Workshop support, level editor, Steam Cloud saves, Steam Achievements, and Steam Trading Cards among the enhanced features to expect.

Graphical fidelity of the game has even been improved over the original release. The original game touched down in 2012 on GOG and a few other places, so this isn’t exactly digging out a super old game, but the Creative Director for this development studio is quoted as saying the new graphics allow players to “view their entire colony while playing on a single screen.” which certainly gives the impression that bases are going to get pretty huge in this title. The final build is expected some time in Q2 2015 and Firefly Studios is excited as hell to be self-publishing on Steam since it gives them, as they put it so accurately, “total control.” and even going as far as to say “That’s a daunting prospect but without Steam’s help, empowering developers like Firefly, this new release wouldn’t be happening.”

Uncompressed High Quality Screenshot Feature Coming to Xbox One

ScreamRide Xbox ONE Screenshot Uncompressed

The Xbox ONE next-generation all-in-one multimedia / video games system will soon be getting a new Screenshot feature. Unlike the PlayStation 4’s similar feature, Xbox ONE’s interpretation of this is to allow users to do so without compression. This should, if all goes according to plan, allow for higher quality images and not mask the true quality of the games folks are uploading screenshots of.

An example is shown above of the upcoming title ScreamRide for Xbox ONE releasing March 3, 2015 (RGN Review hits a day before on March 2). This title was made by the original developers of the RollerCoaster Tycoon series and a trailer for it was released recently.
